Appreciate his legendary regular season performances. Should have at least three regular season MVP awards.

I think unfortunately Harden was right
Even if he bought in and played as hard as he possibly can
We would probably still be below Clippers, Lakers, Jazz and possibly the Nuggets

No Mention of the Eastern Conference teams.

    Facts:

CP3 went out after game 5 and Harden couldn't get one more win to close out the series.

James pushed out CP3 for Westbrook.

Westbrook and Harden get obliterated by the Lakers showing it clearly didn't work.

Harden then says we aren't good enough. The irony is that Harden orchestrated so many moves that resulted in us "not being good enough"

So while yes, I do appreciate everything he did on the court for us, I still hold him largely accountable for the position we are in now.

Rockets ceiling this year was 5th seed and a 2nd round exit with an engaged Harden averaging his usual 30+ points and 7+ assists...nowhere close to contention

Had to click on the poll results to see the current 14 people that voted "No." SMH. Not surprised by that group.

On the court you were a stat padder and a playoff choker, off the court a pos. Yeah I remember very well, historic flood and it took a week or longer for you to acknowledge your "city". You gave money only after the backlash and short after you made Les reconstruct your current salary to pay you even more.

Yes, he literally generates half the points a team will score when he walks on the court.... he does it with all time great eff.... he defends and he almost NEVER misses a game.... and plays 40 minutes a game.

If you did not not appreciate what James Harden did with the Rockets for his tenure here, you likely are a miserable SOB that won't be happy with anything this organization does going forward. Might want to chose a different hobby.

It’s always going to be a love/hate relationship with James for me.

I appreciate everything he did on and off the court. He brought this franchise back to relevance and put Houston back on the map. The thing I appreciated the most was his loyalty. In an NBA where stars change teams left and right year after year, Harden gave us 8 solid years, and he was extremely durable in those 8 years. Plenty of playoff runs and fun memories. So credit to him.

But while he’s a big part of our uprising, he’s also a big part of our downfall. There’s no denying he screwed us over and let us down so many times. The playoff failures, the CP3-Westbrook situation, the Silas and new teammates situation, and quitting on the team he was responsible for basically putting together. There’s many factors that impacted this, but at the end of the day, Harden came up short of bringing Houston a championship. It is what it is.

My position will always be neutral and bittersweet on him.

I think we all appreciate Harden and what he did and we wish him the best, however a lot of us didn’t appreciate how he left and force his way out. Also we didn’t appreciate how he force the FO to trade for Russ and then both of them left the next year. Actually both of them forced us to trade them and demanded a trade.

if he really wanted out the year before he should have asked for a trade then and we would have gotten way more for him for our future without giving so much just to get Russ. We would have kept Cp3 and he would have had a bounced season. Then we could have traded him or keep him depending on what both parties wanted.
But he forced the trade we traded a lot and we moved other players to ease or help Russ transition here. And then both asked out and we had to get less in return or not as much as we could have plus we gave those picks and swaps to okc.

that’s what I didn’t appreciate the way he left and what we had to give but of course we love Harden and what he did for Houston.

The continuing fake news for some of these casuals. forcing the FO to trade for westbrick. There's only 1 person that forced it. It's the dumbass owner when he was told not to.

This........ he was here 8 years, he averaged 30/8/6/2 a game for 8 years..... he averaged 34 points a game for the last 3 years he was a Rocket. Only 3 players in history averaged more than 33 points a game over a three year span.... he led the league in WS 6 times in 8 seasons as a Rocket.... he averaged almost 8 VORP a year with the Rockets...... He had a negative on/off his first year with the Rockets, after that his on/off was almost +8 ..... he made 8 all star games....... his career top comparisons are the guy on the NBA logo (West) and greatest point guard to ever live (Magic Johnson). He was all NBA First Team 6 times... in his 8 year career with the Rockets his WORSE finish in the MVP voting was 9th.... he finished in the top 2 four times..... he finished first in free throws 7 straight years.... he finished in the top 6 for assists the last 6 years with the Rockets..... Harden was 1st or second in scoring the last 6 seasons with the Rockets.... he lead the league in steals over the last two seasons with the Rockets.... he has lead the NBA in offensive win shares over the last decade.... he lead the league in offensive win shares his last 4 years with the Rockets, in his career with the Rockets he never finished worse than 4th...... his last 4 years with the Rockets he was always in the top 20 for defensive win shares.

James Harden is only 31 years old, even with starting his career on the bench, he is already in the all time top 20 in VORP. He has a good chance of finished 3rd all time behind Jordan and LeBron and ahead of Kareem, Magic, Hakeem. Wilt and everyone else..... he leads the NBA in box score +/- over the last 8 years.

Yeah..... even those fans that appreciate James Harden do not realize from a historical standpoint how good he is.... and it isn't just on the offensive side either, his defense is very strong in the advanced stats and his overall impact is insane.

You don't know what you are talking about. The damn owner of the team and the GM in separate interviews said that the decision to trade Chris Paul was made by, and forced through by the owner of the team. There is a reason that the GM, Assistant GM, Head Coach, Franchise player and a Hall of Fame player all got out of town and it wasn't because of James Harden.

James did a lot of good for us until the beginning of this season which led to his unhappy departure for all Houston Rockets fans.

Tilman literally told u he’s the one who forced the trade...it wasn’t from anonymous sources...it wasn’t from insiders...it was from his own mouth

yet we still have people saying Harden is the one who forced the trade...

Harden’s priority that offseason was trying to add to the duo of him and Chris Paul...yes, he ultimately preferred Russ over CP3 if there had to be a straight up swap, but the one who forced that deal was Tilman...all Morey could do was manage to put the lightest of protections on the picks while trying to please Tilman who was crying to other owners about how overpaid Chris Paul was
