Good seasons and several good playoff performances - at age 23 - is what makes him not overrated. He was a top 5 (or at least top 10) player this season. What more do you want? He's already the 2nd or 3rd best SG in the league. Let's be happy with that.
No. Harden had a great game. Your logic for why it was only a good game is flawed. If Harden averaged 50 points a game and then scored 50 points in a playoff game it would only be a good game to you. When Harden's average is better than all but 4 players in the NBA his average could be close to great. When it's a playoff game where the Rockets face elimination and he's coming off his worst game where fans were saying he sucked, was losing on purpose, and wasn't worthy of being the first option, or an all-star, and this is how he responds in a playoff game against the best home team in the league, it was a great game. I do agree with you that some of the fans comments about players are stupid. Harden had a great game. He stepped it up at the right time for the team.
He tied the NBA playoffs by going 7/7 on 3 pointers. Harden is a smart player, those bombs he threw at the basket when Asik was consistently hacked shows how much IQ he has. If any of those baskets gone in, it would of been 3 point plus 2 free throws. There is a reason he plays on another team, Team USA!!!
That would have been funny as ****, if Hardens chuck from half court went in as they hacked Asik .. LMAO Harden is brilliant, he also has great days and bad days, obviously yesterday was a great day because he hit 7 3 pointers.
true that. people forget that harden is the sole reason we even made the playoffs, much less became a team with more wins than losses.
While I was never a hater of Harden, the dude had 10 turnovers and jacked up missed shots in critical moments of a win or go home game. You have to sympathize with some of the reacations given here. That game was very infuriating to watch.
Not really. I like comment about the difference between criticism and knee jerk reactions. A guy who has a bad game is normal. The sky is falling and knee jerk reaction was ridiculous. It's fair to say Harden made some really horrible crunch time decisions. It was silly to say he wasn't a super star or shouldn't play again or anything silly like that. In a game where the Thunder could clench the series win their leader scored zero points in that crucial quarter of the game. He missed everything he shot, didn't draw a shooting foul, turned the ball over, and couldn't help his team come back in a winnable game. I don't think anyone should say he wasn't super star or wasn't worthy of being the number 1 option. This wasn't the first time Durant made some crucial mistakes during crunch time either. In the game where he had the miracle bounce he made plenty of crunch time mistakes. If someone would say that about Durant, I wouldn't have sympathy for them. I would say they were being ridiculous. Same thing here.
