5 games into the season, Harden is the NBA MVP. I can see coach K (Krzyzewski) in his game and I think that has made a huge difference! Keep it up, James!
For Harden to have a chance, the Rockets will have to have a spectacular record, perhaps 60 wins, and I don't think they have the depth to reach that number, not w/o being completely out of gas for the playoffs.
and I guess you are way too lazy to realize that he was the most clutch player in the NBA last year, It's ok man, we all posted some dumb **** on here before
That lineup would net 5 consecutive titles to Houston. The offensive efficiency rating would be off the meter.
National media praising the rockets and james harden saying he's their MVP choice if theirs no LBJ or KD, 1 week ago we were the 10 seed http://bit.ly/1t9FyHP
yeah that was ugly... however now he has somebody to throw the ball to.... earlier it was cp , in marcus morris and others who would miss a lot of open threes...
Too soon, too soon. I do believe in Clutchfan jinxes. But if this thread is about how Harden has been dynamite through 5 games and is playing semi-tolerable defense, I agree. Harden as a committed assist man is also one of the funnest things in the league, contrary to the "oh, he's only a flopper and his big games are horrible to watch" patina the media is trying to throw on him, which I never understood at all.
The Harden hate within the NBA might be too much for him to win the MVP. I think he is a great basketball player and is a worthy of MVP consideration, but for some reason, people just hate the Rockets and the players on the Rockets. I really don't know why.
If he plays the way he did last night for the remaining 77 games, there's no doubt he deserves it. He was just everywhere last night. And, barring injury, it's a distinct possibility he could keep it up, because what he showed last night was all a mental change to become the true leader by example for this team. Keep that up and couple it with with his immense skill, and holy crap, the potential is amazing. Still, there are 77 games left, and the West is stacked, so, as Red Nation, we need to support our newly-energized team and its leader as much as possible this season.
wow I knew Harden had a bad reputation as a defender, but I didn't know that youtube video hurt him THIS bad. BLOGTABLE: HARDEN FOR MVP http://hangtime.blogs.nba.com/2014/11/05/blogtable-harden-for-mvp/
Some idiot on there saying you earn it for what you've done in the playoffs and that no offense only player should win it. Um Steve Nash says hello!!!
And another saying that Howard is just as important to the team so you can't really give it to harden because he has too much help. So then why give it to Lebron, Durant, Rose???
Don't care about MVP or any individual award unless it's part of a campaign that finishes with the NBA title.
Most fans don't actually watch what they talk about. People still think that Harden is some guy who flops around and plays no defense. That he gets most of his points off actually flopping. Which I find funny, Harden DOES flop. Certainly...usually on off-ball plays where you don't even get FTs as a result of the foul. Yet still people blindly believe that he just flops around and plays no defense the entire game. I'm serious. People think that he's fraud of a star player because they literally think his entire game is flopping and playing no defense. He won't win it this year, until people see him playing like this in the playoffs and he sheds those reputations. But people just believe what others assume...like how many years did Kobe get on a defensive team for reputation alone? Too many.
