Harden doesn't understand that only Dwight is the cornerstone and untradable

James I know you think you had a great series versus Portland, but you shot like 35% and got run over by Wes ****ing Mathews. Thanks for getting us there, but the playoffs was a train wreck on your end.

Out of all the players you mentions there's a combined 45+ years of experience and 1 championship to speak of. You know NOTHING about basketball. Oh and James Harden an average defender?

Tony Parker has never been a good defender, Magic Johnson was never a good defender. That a little easier for you?

Wes Matthews, the guy who put up the 41/32/81 line with the 9.7 PER in the playoffs.

    He really did kill us.

That .533 TS% and .493 eFG% really worked us over.

Harden wasn't near his season numbers, but let's not act like his counterpart was abusing him.

Harden doesn't really get abused anywhere near as much as you seem to believe, statistically it shows nothing of the sort. And part of the reason, is like those guys, he gets put on guys that are basically offensive scrubs.

Matthews did jack **** in that series offensively, then in the last game, they put Harden on Batum, and finally Batum didn't bend us over. He has his moments of "I'm not really going to bother trying" no doubt, but this idea that it's happening all the time, or the more ludicrous that it was the cause throughout the playoffs is just asinine.

Harden needs to shut the f up, I cannot believe people actually like what he said here. You think Olajuwon ever said Cassell, Horry, Max, Kenny, Thorpe and Herrera were JUST ROLE PLAYERS???

He never said "just" and players in the 90's didn't get their panties in a knot about being called role players.

Making up facts again huh? Nobody rejected playing with Houston because of James Harden. In fact our second star came here with Harden being one of the main reasons.

Carl, you are lucky to have 0.1% of your posts be intelligent of factualy correct. Everything else comes straight from your ass.

Oh and the thread title is misleading.

Harden did NOT say his teammates were JUST role players. He said they are role players.

Now unless you can show the rest of the team are not role players...stfu.

Then again, based on the posts this off-season you all think everyone on the team is an all-star and automatic hall of famer.

That's what it boils down to or are you nitpicking here? Saying they are a piece that can be replaced, he figures they are just or nothing more than a role player. It's not about being a role player or being called a role player, it's about how you say it and if one of your non-defensive nonchalant no-show in the playoffs fake leader in Harden starts to say stuff like this, it's showing of his immaturity and lack of respect, character and class towards his team mates.

Also you have a romantic view of the 90s, because no way players would respect this coming out of anybody, even MJ or Hakeem in their prime and especially not from a 24 year old!

It's beneficial to feel that responsibility, but the other players are just as important. Harden & Howard are the meat and potatoes. If a corner stone just means a high usage rate then hopefully the efficiency doesn't go down as usage rate increases. A balanced team in terms of usage rate has advantages.
