Oh he deserves his fair share of the blame but many are just way over the top with the hate. He made Houston relevant again.
Barkley was a notorious loafer Ewing blew layups when it counted Iverson was I-Ball . .or as they say Hero ball now Stockton and MAlone was just dirty players Miller's game was soft Harden has abit of all of them in him but still missing the elusive 'IT' Harden suffers from some situational failings when it is on the line Rocket River
Just to note, before Lebron won a title, people said the same thing about him - he was missing the killer instinct, was soft in high pressure situations, etc. He was still obviously one of if not THE best player in the league, but it's funny how these criticisms hinge so heavily on whether a player has a ring which is really no measure of how good a player is.
Francis T-Mac never got to the Western Conference Finals and Harden did..his career not over yet...to be determined imo
you and almost every other rockets fan at the time. Ronny Seikaly was the part that soured me on wanting to trade Dream. But let's face it. We live in an instant gratification society in which everyone is allowed to express their immediate feelings regardless of giving time to reflect, research and reply. So now we get to see a million posts of knee jerk reactions and it makes it seem more pervasive. This team is still set up for excellence for the long term with a young star in Harden, developing players in Capela, DMO and Montrezl - and decent role players in Ariza and Beverly, plus...... plus.... plus.... the cap flexibility to fix what's wrong by next year. The sky may be falling somewhere, but it's not on our pretty entitled heads. (and I write this as a notorius Francis hater and someone who grew to loathe McLazy fairly quickly, though I loved him at first. I just don't see the same thing in Harden.)
McGrady was one of the all time worst losers in the history of NBA playoffs. All time... ...history of the playoffs! Let that sink in. That's a fact. There is no ifs and buts about that. Having him in any poll that features playoff success is laughable by itself.
he delivered what? Delivered a turnover cause he wasnt quick enough to pass out of the Iggy/Thompson double team and ended the season?
Though the Harden hate is through the roof lately, I've gotta say that I don't think I've ever seen a drop of this magnitude in a team that barely changed its players from last year. I mean, they went from a Western Conference finals threat last year to what they are now. How the hell does that happen? They didn't suffer any injuries and they didn't lose anyone significant. The only thing that I can think of that changed is the attitudes of the players.
Zboy, are you telling me that James Harden, as a Rocket, is better than Tracy McGrady? You don't value 1 game in the regular season where he jacked up a bunch of 3s higher than going to the Conference Finals?
yeh, he delivered... right up to setting an NBA record for most turnovers in a game to eliminate us... ...fool's gold... hear me now - believe me later...
we got there, that's a right step this organization hasn't had since Charles Barkley. I believe once he learns that he has to share the ball handling responsibilities then things will improve
so you probably would throw him under the bus for his first (note I said first and not only) finals appearance too, even though he was the key person to get the Thunder past the Spurs in the western conference finals. More fools gold, eh? At what time can I start selling your fools gold for $1k/oz cause it's gotta be soon. hear me now, believe me in two weeks, and call you mother after - cause we're gonna pump.... clap... you up
