He didn't need to, he's a smart guy. Most NBA players are not so smart (and most also make way less money). He'll be fine.

I don't even know what more you would need in a house. What more could you possibly get for, say, $10 million?

The only thing I can think of is a bigger piece of land and an indoor basketball court.

$2 mil couldn't even buy a 2000 square foot house in San Francisco depending on where you are.

Royal Oaks is not even close to being the hood. It's like saying the city of Bellaire is hood because it's close to chimney rock.

Way out in Westchase? Da f***?

I would've bought something in River Oaks, or maybe one of those old mansions in Montrose. Or hell, even a penthouse downtown, maybe in the Four Seasons or something.

Go ahead and post pictures and then we can judge which is better. Usually, people with 2 million dollar houses don't say breh. Your parent's house doesn't count.

Royal Oaks huh... I assume he didn't get that invitation to live in River Oaks huh.

Harden is smart, seems like he got a nice house, and didn't waste too much money.

    that is all.

The only thing I don't like is the half acre lot. I have 1700 sq ft on a half acre & there isn't much back yard. Corse that may be because the back third slopes down 50 or 60 ft. You run into that in the hill country.

No its not. Bellaire is a sizeable city while Royal Oaks is a tiny neighborhood whose residents like to compare to River Oaks for some reason.

You think this is the only house he will buy?

He has endorsement deals in addition to his max salary.

They are low in some parts of the US. A 150k home in Houston would go for a mil where I am.
