Harden and Paul should not have flopped in the second half

We got absolutley ****ed by the refs in the first half .

But in the second half , harden and Paul started contorting a bit on their 3's to try and draw a call .

They should not have done this .

1st of all it makes it harder to make the shot

2nd , we had the popular opinion on our side FOR ONCE . For once the Reffing was so blatantly biased agaisnt us that I thought there actually might be a review .

Then comes the second half , and CP3 and James are trying to draw whistles from the same guys who ****ed them over in the first half . It makes no sense .

Also now , there is film in the same game of harden swinging his feet out more . The refs can say something along the lines of "we think he's trying to trick us"

Which totally obscures the point that the bad calls came first .

Overall we should have responded differently to the Reffing . I think our heart and hustle on D was great . But our response to no calls from 3 was not .

James Harden needs to learn how to create shots that are intended to be made on high accuracy rather than intended for a higher chance of ft attempts.

That's his problem and that will always be his problem.

well the explanation is simple.... refs came to them at half time and said we missed those... naturalna you're gonna think, cool well we'll get now then.... then you get nothing... its terrible protocol for me to tell you I was wrong but then continue to be wrong.....

I'm not seeing how they get away with that

Well to be fair ... he tried that in the first half and the refs basically dared him to risk injuring himself because they were letting klay ram him each time

Well maybe find other ways to score besides heavily contested step back threes? Thought of that?

Why though ? He's worked his ass off to create this unguardable , efficient shot .

What percentage would he shoot if he didn't have to worry about getting fouled ?

Look , could harden play better and smarter ... yes . But the level he played at night have been good enough to win had the refs called it fairly .

The only thing I take issue with was our response to the refs . If we aren't getting the call , flopping isn't gonna make matters better for us .

We should have either kept shooting and not-flopping and if they continued to miss foul calls then the story is even more lopsided . Or MDA could have adjusted . Or we could have used hartenstein/ farried to come stick their foot under curry or klay .

His step back three is not an efficient shot in the playoffs.

Kobe and Jordan also worked on specific efficient moves. It doesn't they were almost soley reliant on one or two moves. They understood that team defenses can gaurd predictable games.

    This ref **** is exhausting.

    It's a battle we can't and won't win.

We knew exactly what this series would be like regarding the refs but we were shocked we weren't getting calls yesterday?

Yeah man but he's getting fouled .

I agree James needs to change it up a bit .

But you can't argue "it's not efficient" if the only reason it's not efficient is because the refs are getting the call wrong .

I'm not even talking about harden getting free throws to be efficient . If he wasn't getting fouled he'd be making way more shots .

If he took higher quality shots, he would be making them more.

Why is that shot not a high quality shot ?

If he doesn't get fouled he hits it at nearly a 40% clip .

Harden has never been an efficient 3 pointer in the playoffs period. Most of his stepbacks were way off this and last series without any fouling.

What was his Percentage of step back 3's last year. Terrible as well

-Why are we talking about Kobe and Jordan?
-Those were fouls on legitimate shots (James's went In)
    -Kobe was efficient lulz

True , but harden also took his consistency with the jumper to a new level this year

Last series the results are colored by the crazy defense played vs him

According to NBA.com, Harden is 32% in the regular season on contested 3 pt shots. He also has the highest volume of contested three pt shots by a significant margin.

That 32% also drops even more in the playoffs.

If that's true then there is no way he should be taking that many . It's up to MDA to coach better .

You should call Harden and let him know that. The league is so broken, it wouldn't matter what Houston did in this game. Just hearing the refs admitted to missing multiple fouls (when Harden wasn't moving forward), it's stupid, this isn't even about playoff basketball/hard fouls, the nba is basically going to let Harden get injured like Leonard.

Again, Harden can find other ways to score than heavily contested threes. It's that simple. If he is an all time great scorer, he should find other ways.
