Harden is more efficient than Kobe and Dwade but is he better defensively?

Dwight is a superstar, no question. Harden is a budding superstar, and I'll fight anyone anyone who says otherwise!! J/K

Have you looked at the Lakers team? 2 time MVP Nash, 3 time DPOTY Dwight and lots of championship rings among the rest... People expected them to be in them WCF easily...

The question is simply: what are superstars to you? The top 3-5 players in the league? Then no, right now we don't have a superstar (although Dwight used to be top 2 just a couple of years ago). But then several guys that made it to the HOF would also not be superstars...

To me superstars are those special players you build around, that give you a real chance at a championship. Both Harden and Dwight are top 10 players in my book (ESPN had them rated at 8 and 11) and both of them are superstars. But all that's only semantics - lets just be happy that we have two of the best players in the league, that we have a shot at the title and that we are relevant again!

I usually consider the top 10 or so players in the league a superstar. I know harden is there, Dwight is on the fringe

A superstar is someone Morey would not hesitate to give a max salary. Harden and Howard easily fit that category of players.

Since I trust Morey's due diligence, both of them are superstars.

Than this years Kobe? yes (but let's be honest here, Kobe will be lucky to be a top 20 player from this point onwards), than Wade? no, but the 2011 and prior Wade no longer exists whilst Harden's direction is upwards.

Its not because of Harden, neither Coach Brooks or Coach McHale preaches or put a lot emphasis on defense.
The entire team needs to improve on defense, starting with the COACH. As you can see when a COACH is defensive minded, so is the TEAM. Coach Rivers, Coach Pop, Coach Thibodeau and even Coach Spo all preaches and teaches defense.

    Well said.

I think the OP is a troll, without a doubt Harden and Howard are both superstars in the league.

I don't know how anyone can consider Chris Paul a superstar and not Dwight Howard. Dwight has gone to the finals with some pretty mediocre players. Chris Paul, not so much.
