If we could get Conley and Horford I would consider this a successful off-season as far as free agency is concerned. Having Conley, Harden, Ariza, Beasley and Horford would give MDA a very good offense to work with. The defense would suck but it's going to suck anyway.
Hey, Plow, is this an idle question - - or, do you know something??? To your question, I didn't believe Lawson would work (before he morphed into total worthlessness) so why would I expect any 'traditional' 1 to work with Harden unless it's The Beard who morphs into another kind of player. I have seen conjecture that Harden will play 1-4 on 0 and 3-4 on D. But, what was his MDA input and what is his on-court commitment to working without the ball? So, was yours an idle question, or... ???
If Harden is willin to move without the ball they can work, if not, well...anyway Chris Paul expires next summer, i mean, i like Conley (even if i'm a bit scared about his injuries lately), but if you want a great PG that much, just wait for CP, he was ok in coming here few years ago, i think he'll be ok next season too.
Conley will not work well under Mike D'Antoni's fast pace offense. And Conley is an injured prone to begin with. He will get injured a lot.
And to answer Plowman's post, a Conley and Harden backcourt can be orett deadly if Harden can effectively play off the ball.
Conley is solid. And brings some needed leadership. I like him, but it will cost them a max FA slot. Would rather use that slot for Horford and split the other slot for a combination of players.
For the love of all things holy, can we quit with the MDA thing? Makes me think of Jerry's Kids or Ecstasy.
