Considering how they lost that game, I don't think it's a bad thing that our best vet and best player got into a shouting match - I would be worried if they were just chill about it. The problem is, they didn't come together after that frustration bubbled up...

 

I believe that after game 5 a lot of fighting went down. Was it knock down brawling? Probably not. Was it angry yelling and a couple of f bombs? Probably. I mean, I'm cool with that.

 

At no point do I give credence to swygal but over the last week or so, whether it be a random podcast(been listening typo a lot of other teams locked on podcasts, Celtics is really good), I actually heard of a discord between them two.

It was hardly mentioned and more of a background comment during the discussion but I do recall hearing it.

Also, I remember spotting on James instagram a post about how they don't make them like they used to and I believe it was in reference to ariza

What happened in game 6 though is incredibly damning then.

 

I made a "what if" thread after the loss and asked what if Harden got called out by his teammates or coaches after Game 5s loss and decided to say, hey let me see how you guys do without me.

I hope that's not case, but I can see no other reason to totally not show up in a close out game. If that's the case, I think he's a mental midget if he can't take criticism especially if you're the franchise player.

 

I haven't heard anything about this from anyone that works with or around the team.

It wouldn't be the first or likely the last time that Harden and Ariza have fought, but the idea that is why the Rockets lost game 6? No, not buying it.

 

Disagree completely about not winning anything with James as the #1 option. He needs a "Robin" and consistent rebounding/defense inside. (CC is growing by leaps and bounds, but we really missed Nene big time after he went down)


I don't think an argument with Ariza was the cause AT ALL. It was something darker.

I agree about not blaming the fight for the game six collapse. We've all seen Harden have horrible games in the past, so it may have just been a horrible game.

 

Not to take this on a tangent, but the Cavs have given Lebron, one of the best players of all time, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love ... and we're a few games early but things aren't looking good. Oh, and they also have a consistent rebounding big inside who isn't being consistent this series because he's being completely mismatched out of his game.
