you sound like you can't stand when nobody else on the team besides Harden can get any sort of praise for a victory. If that's the case, that's completely pathetic
So you want Dwight to guard the perimeter and 3 point shot, protect the paint and contest/block shots, box out and rebound? He is only one man, he has no control if our guards are leaving people wide open looks from the outside.
Not really, what's pathetic is all the criticism Harden's getting when he's pretty much at his MVP form last season. People are still in denial on his overall impact and Dwight has mostly gotten a pass, even though he's the highest paid player on the team by a wide margin.
its not pathetic at all. harden is not the same player he was last year. That's evident to anyone who has truly followed this team and doesn't just look at the box score on espn. That's not much of a knock because he had a memorable season last year. Nobody on this team gets a pass. every single person has regressed. But to actually feel like no other player should get any praise besides Harden is a damn shame. If that's your intent then by all means carry on but just know you'll continue looking an absolute fool doing so.
Why are you a fan of a team that all you do is trash talk? There's 29 other teams out there, go find one that's up to your standards.
What criticism of Harden? You're in a thread that says "Harden Absolutely MURDERED Portland" I simply said 'and let's not overlook Howard's huge contribution last night' followed by GREAT GAME JAMES, GREAT GAME ROCKETS AS A TEAM, AND GREAT GAME HOWARD. Can you count to 5? Do it. Right now, give it a shot. 1 2 3 4 5. That's how many people are on the court for the Rockets for 100% of 48 minutes. It isn't a This or That, which you are failing to construct. It's a This ANND That. I want a 20-10 Big, legitimate shot blocker to go with Harden. When Howard dominates the paint and protects the rim and controls the glass and flushes 80% of his attempts, and you add that to Harden going Super Saiyan, well that amigo is like a sore d**k, you cant beat it. I'm not apologizing for nothing. I'm saying great game to both our stars and our team. I'm saying it because Howard gets a lot of unfair criticism here, as evidenced by your posts.
please contribute something meaningful that's at least basketball related. if not don't quote me and move along. thanks
Geez guys we won a good game last night. Harden was great, D12 got another double double, defense was sound in 2nd half, even Brewer managed to not look lost out there. Great game, bring on SA.
As opposed to all the negative garbage and nitpicking you post? "Every single player has regressed"? Ariza has been great this year, Harrell and McDaniels are showing signs of being able to contribute, Howard is averaging more rebounds and has a better FG% than last yr (highest of his career), and Harden is still very capable of taking over games like he did a season ago.
Harden finally looked like his MVP self. Rockets finally learned what DEFENSE was, and hustle. Bench finally scored points, *Looking at Brewer*.
what are you even talking about. So we're supposed to sit around and act like everything is ok when this team as dropped the likes of a .500 team. It's called pointing out what the problems are and trying to fix them. You might be a little too simple minded to have discussions like this. Are you going to prove that statement wrong? Good luck with that because there isn't one player that got better overall on this team. If you're going to sit there and be upset over the truth do it somewhere else besides trying to point that in this direction.
Put down that pipe and check the standing first. Where were we at last year at this point and where are we at now? You are the finest example of knee jerking after a win for a fringe lottery team.
Well we want harden to score, assist, guard the perimeter, run off of screens, post up, run p-r with dwight, with superb efficiency all while playing 40+ minutes every night to have a chance to win....He's just one man
As far as being a 3&D guy he's been pretty damn good. Yes I know he didn't shoot well last night and he has his share of off nights, but he's still shooting 38% from 3 and he remains one of the league's best wing defenders, not to mention he's been asked to play PF many times this season. His defense on Lillard last night was a huge reason Rockets won that game.
Folks seem to be saying this was a good game. They won, and as my signature says, all else is forgiven. But let's not pretend like they weren't down 20 something, and it was looking like another blowout loss at the Blazers's hands. I'm glad the team stuck to it, fought back, and didn't give up as they so often have. This team (and my sanity) won't survive playing this way. I mean look at that last and-1 James had. He pumped his fist, and then immediately had this exhausted look on his face. The key has been and always has been as you guys know, the effort on D. Since the All-Star break, it seems like the team recognizes that. I sure hope they keep going with that.
some say harden back to his mvp level? let me ask again, how's playing one half of the game like crap and another great,,, mvp level? if that's mvp level, then what should we call curry's performance (such as last night)? harden's been trying on d since the allstar break, i will give you that. we could've won the utah game a couple of nights b4. but will this effort last? and where was it earlier?
So much negativity on this board...It's been a disappointing season thus far compared to last yr but geez, some people are acting like the season is already over. Let's just hope we finish strong and make the playoffs, anything can happen from there. This team can still compete with anyone when they're playing their best ball.
