Help--Question!?!?! @Which draft room, Java or HTML? I was reading on CBS that the java rooms have problems, but I have a cable modem. I'm going into the java room. Anyone else going to use it?>
What browser do you use ? You may just have java disabled ? I've used the java applet in several drafts and it always seemed to work well. If you use the html you'll need to constantly refresh the page.I'm not sure if it does it automatically or not. Java is the way to go if you can use it.
Well, this is why I wasn't excited about the CBS system. I'm at a friend's computer who's also in our CBS football league, and it won't let me in.
Question I am trying to set my lineup. It says must have 10 active players. I thought we just had to designate 4 g, 4 fwds and 1 center which is nine. Do we have to have 2 centers now?>
Crow I think we just have to have 10 active players right? and 5 reserves? Man I wish I had known this before draft time.
The lineup settings go as follows: You must have at least 12 players on your roster and no more than 15. Up to 10 of your players must be "Active" and up to 5 must be "Reserve" players. You can pick 10 players regardless of position to play on any given night. I feel this makes the league a little more competitive. Also, there are no game limits like the Sandbox leagues used to have. So this means that you are going to have to switch your players in and out of your lineup quite often (daily) in order to receive the most points allowed from your roster on any given day. Basically, just make sure you have as many players as possible starting in your "Active 10". I am activating the waivers process on Monday around noon so you better do all the adding/dropping that you want before that time or you will have to wait through waivers in order to acquire a free agent. Also, the trade deadline for the league is set for February 14, 2002.
Are you guys in favor of adding 2 injury roster spots to your squads? The only thing I need to check on is whether or not Sportsline would allow an owner to shelve a healthy person into one of the 2 IR spots. If they will allow a healthy person on the IR, then I am not going to do it because that isn't fair IMO. I tried it earlier and it allowed me to put Jason Richardson on the IR when in fact he is healthy. I am going to find out how this is regualted after the season starts. Anyone in favor?
Crow that sounds good. So essentially we can have 15 healthy players and 2 players on IR. right? but when someone comes off IR, we have to cut one of our healthy players?
I'd be in favor of 1...I feel 2 added with as many bench spots as we have already may cut down on trading possibilities. There won't be as much waiver wire action either if we can all hoard so many players.Maybe maybe no.
eh I guess I wasn't thinking about what Ted just said...about having to cut one to make room...so yea 1 or 2 no matter.... I would like at least one though.
