There are many games when Harden carried this team on his shoulders and scored bucket after bucket near the end. Including game winning shot against the Spurs a few weeks ago. It's not just that he is the leading scorer for the team, it's also how he has performed overall in crunch time. Did he get it done last night? No, but we have a winning record at 8 games over .500 for the first time in 4 years and are in the playoffs, which means hes' getting it done more often than not. I don't see how anyone can honestly believe we are a playoff team without Harden. I don't feel as strong about Mchale but even given a coach like Phil Jackson coaching this team minus Harden, I still think it's not likely we make the playoffs.

Maybe, but we have a bigger chance of actually making the WCF in the next few years with Harden than with Iggy. Teams like the Nuggets or Pacers might make the playoffs and make some noise, but until they get a go to guy their chances of ever winning it all are slim to almost non-existent.

For a long time i wanted to believe that Harden is a good guy. but i think he isnt. He acts like hes a tough mother**** basically after every made 3, then doesnt get back on D and yells at teammated for his own mistakes. normally i would never judge a player or even find it hard to root for him becuz off his off court character. i bet many nba players are rich douchbags. but if your Franchise player yells at Asik for a way overthrown alley oop which Asik could have never catched or yells at teammates becuz they didnt make up for his poor Defensive rotations u know u got a problem.

I'm sure the ISO Iguodala play would have been very successful.

I'll have to see that again because it didn't look overthrown to me. Asik just didn't expect it (not that it's his fault.)

The best trade ever for Houston would be Terrence Jones and Harden for David West and Paul George. Not that i think it could happen but it would take Houston to a whole new level.
But i don´t hate Harden or something and dont want him traded yet but he could be be a problem in the future if he keeps shooting such poor wasting so many possesions and doesnt learn to play D. If so Houston should at least consider such a trade...

Find me a superstar in this league that doesn't berate his teammate?
And that was hardly "berating". But he does need to either do something w/ the ball or give it up early.

#1 Iggy is not a two way player, he is not a good offensive player and does not fit the Denver system.

#2 What the hell do you care if Harden has sex with lots of women? Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O'Neal and Magic Johnson were all notorious for screwing anything that walked.

#3 I have no issue with Harden getting into it with his teammates, he wants to win. If he didn't show concern you would be saying he doesn't care.

#4 At WORST Harden is the 3rd best shooting guard in the world and has had a breakout season at 23.

If you don't like it be a Knicks fan.

It's so simple to answer this question.
    1. You root for Harden cos you want the Rockets to win. That applies to everyone here.

    2. HOWEVER, if imagine if Harden calls you out to hang out and he wants to take you to strip clubs and whatever other things he does...IF you want to go, you like him as that type of friend. If you don't want to go, you don't like him as that type of friend. You will always root for your friends...so this point here clarifies it some.

    3. Here's another test. If Harden gets traded to another team, who here will follow him to that team to support him there? If yes, you really root for him. If no, you just root for Rockets.

    4. Finally, are there any Harden fans here from OKC? If yes, then they root for Harden. If no, then where are they?????

My own personal feeling is that I want Harden to succeed because it will help Rockets go far. I do understand the issue with his beard because I keep wondering how he drinks soup...with a straw??

Again... Why do care if Harden goes to strip clubs? Over half the NBA goes to strip clubs? Do you not like naked women?

As for the beard, it fits him... He looks better with it. Why are you judging a grown mans facial hair? Is there something you would like to share with the board?

From the psuedo gang signs he throws up every time he hits a three, to the shameless excessive flopping (my biggest pet peeve as an nba fan), to the one on 3 drives to the basket, yes he is absolutely hard to root for.

Only a dishonest homer would say otherwise.

If you go to message boards of other teams we play there is an unusual amount of hate for harden because of his flopping. Its not like that with kevin durant, lebron james, even kobe bryant a famous ball hog, where there is admiration for how they play the game.

With Harden its complete hate for his excessive flopping and traveling.

& yes i saw that confrontation with harden and mchale and i hope the entire team run his incompetent arse out of town.

Lebron, Kobe, and Durant receive a lot more hate for "how they play the game" than Harden. When Harden reaches their popularity, he'll also receive as much hate. That's what happens.
