Was just about to post this story. THe Hard Knocks series is extremely well done and I would LOVE to see the Texans on it. I'm wondering wtf they turned down the offer last year.
i'm wondering how the hell they got offered it in the first place?? our head coach and best player have no personality whatsoever and we don't have thugs or many big names on the team. don't see where the interest would lie.
Why the hell not. McCain always said Bob McNair wouldn't want to do it. McClains fat ass wrong again.
I dont think the Texans have the appeal that other teams have had in the past, except KC? Cowboys are always appealing, and the Bengals were appealing because of ocho-cinco/all the other off the field problems. I bet HBO passes if they have another team that is more interesting. Good idea for mcnair though, gets them on a national spotlight.
No thank you. I'd hate to see certain players get large heads from being there and have us put the blame on Hard Knocks.
the texans dont have any players that are particularly interesting or have a big personality besides Cush
If you don't think Cushing has personality you haven't seen the video from last season of him with Schaub and Demeco. The guy is a hoot.
I do agree that the Texans would be one of the more "vanilla" selections, but maybe HBO actually wants to get away from the soap operas that were cowboys & bengals. Also, HBO would like the idea of catching a team reach a new level...in the texans case the playoffs. I think it would be great for the Texans though, from a marketing standpoint.
If I remember right, this was the reasoning last year. Kubes said he didn't want the distraction. Now, as a team that is looking to break through, it might be a good way to get some fans on the bandwagon.
