I think you need to start drinking with smarter people then. Guiness compared to ____ Light is like Salma Hayek compared to a hole in your mattress.
You would think so, sir... but we don't celebrate this in México. Lucky's is full of people at capacity right now. Where else to go get some green Coronas?
The day everyone who isn't irish wears green and talks like leprachuans. I hate this holiday . Everywhere I go, there a posers woth green beer, posers eating green bagels(bagels are jewish, not irish!) And looking for gold at the end of very rainbow(well, there's none in ireland). I never understood why the non-irish celebrate, that would be like mexicans celebrating july 4th and pretend they're american or me celebrating kwanza.
St. Patrick's day is not an independence day in the sense of the 4th of July, and it's only a religious holiday in Ireland. For the United States, it's just a day to "celebrate" the Irish culture ... and since Americans like to drink and listen to music, a lot of people celebrate.
it was originally a religious holiday for catholics in general. Also, the first St Patty's day parade was in the states. Then again, i don't really care since i'm part irish.
Also, I don't understand what he means by saying "mexicans [sic] celebrate july [sic] 4th"... First of all, it's "The Fourth of July" or "4th of July." It is not July 4th. Second of all, why in the **** would we Mexicans who live in the United States NOT celebrate the independence of the nation where we live? Third, if you don't want to join us in drinking some green whatever or wearing some green whatever, fine... more power to you, brother... but don't come into a celebratory thread WHINING about people who DO celebrate this... what, you think black folks shouldn't be in the St. Patrick's Day Parade at all? WTF.
