    Very sorry to hear that Alzheimers is so horrible because it robs you of the person piece by piece before they actually die. My ex-GF's grandfather died of it and as he was declining he would think she was his wife who had died decades ago.

    My dad passed in 07. For those of you who still can, give your pops an extra big Happy Father's Day for me. Don't take for granted that you still can do so.

    Similar for me. My dad passed away in '08.

    It's always kind of a bittersweet holiday for me now. I don't even really mark it on the calendar anymore. Still miss him a lot.

    My father is across an ocean and because of COVID-19 haven't been able to see him in person since Dec. 2019. I likely won't see him again until around Christmastime this year. I'm getting ready to talk to him on WhatsApp this morning.

    Also want to wish a Happy Father's Day to the immigrant fathers who came to a new land to build a better life for themselves and their families.

    Finally Happy Father's Day to those who have lost their fathers..

    Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there. I had brunch with some of my family including my cousins. In the middle of it did a call with my dad in Hong Kong.

    For the Gen Xers like myself many of us have parents who are elderly and sadly many of our dads will be gone sooner than later. Appreciate your parents while you can.

    Wife and kids went over the top with Fathers Day stuff this year. All the Mrs got for Mother's Day was a blanket and a Sushi dinner. Oh well. Usually it's the other way around - where they get all sorts of amazing stuff on their days and on my days I get.... to grill some steaks for them.
