Why are you blaming Morey. The organization made an honest effort to reach out to somebody no one else would deal with Who knew that this guy would be such a fraud? Anyway it was worth the risk at that pick because the guys that pan out are 50/50 who are drafted 16 overall
Morey should have known, that's why he is being paid. That a general manager should do some research on a prospective employee just in case the latter is a conman is par for the course.
