Sweet. I was hoping someone would post that. My all-time favorite Hakeem play. David looks like he's on a trampoline! Isn't that Brent Price?
so he is perfect for the rockets this year actually hakeem has his birthday on the same day as my mother, so i wil always remember his birthday
Matt Maloney...Brent Price...as the great Charles Barkley would say, they're both tissue paper white point guards without jobs. How long did Maloney get paid for being cut? And yeah, I'm pretty darn sure that is Brent Price in that pic.
the drob play happened 9 and a half years ago. thats insane. it seems like yesterday when hakeem carried the team on his back.
happy birthday dream...the greatest center of all time. i couldnt even believe my ears when van chancelor even questioned dream being one of the top 5 centers of all time tonight....cheers to dream as i pour another drink
you know the season we're playing right now? well we're paying maloney for it. and that's not a joke. and even though i thought it was maloney when SF said it, it is brent price.
can anyone confirm if this is true? if so, he should've been fired in the middle of the broadcast and asked never to return. happy birthday Hakeem. thanks for the two titles.
during the broacast he asked worrell if he thought hakeem was one of the top 5 centers of all time. how can u even ask that question
Dear Yao Ming Fans, Hello Yao Ming fans. My name is Scarface. I have been a fan of the Rockets now for 22 years. I'm 25 years old so that means I have been watching the Rockets almost all my life. I blame my mother for depriving me of my Rockets during the Moses Malone era (she could have aimed my stroller towards the TV). Anyhow the reason us Rockets fans who have watched this team for more than the past three and a half seasons are so frustrated with Yao is Hakeem Olajuwon. Do yourself a favor if you have never seen this man play go out and get some tapes on him. He was poetry in motion. The guy had Garnett type ability at the center position. What’s more is take Ben Wallace, Dikembe Mutombo Mpolondo Mukamba Jean Jacque Wamutombo, Theo Ratliff, Kelvin Cato, and add a little bit of James Posey/Ron Artest and you have the defensive abilities that this man displayed EVERY NIGHT . This man spoiled us at the center position. We want Yao to be like him. It’s like when Larry Holmes took over the heavyweight division from Ali. We were so spoiled by Ali that we never appreciated Holmes's ability. Anyhow long live Dream, the greatest center of all time.
Kinda weird to see Dream and Mt Mutombo going at it back then. Now Mt Mutombo is going to probably retire in a Rocket uni, but I'm sure go into the hall as a Nugget!!!
