I've always wondered why more people don't do this, there are plenty of opportunities to this but nobody seems to want to take the risk.

Battier did not establish position before touching the ball, should have been Celtics ball on the turnover.

That being said, Pierce is a punk, so, love the no call there.

"Punk" is putting it mildly.

I read an article a couple of years ago, mentioning Pierce yelling at an official over a call, basically, "You can't make that call, I've got a ring!" Which is probably low, actually, on the he's-a-punk stuff that one could mention.

 

I had to watch it a few time, but you're absolutely right.

This was right after he got hit in the face with the ball that was also a TO, and right before Wade stuffed him on offense. :grin:

Its too risky. Fail and it'll be the dumb play of the day/week/month. You can't predict when, and if, the defender will move. Plus, you'd want the defender farther away to allow yourself enough time to step in.

I picked this up immediately too... Even before I read your comment I tried to convince myself he did, but he definitely didn't....

 

It is weird, after years of posting, and following games, it is clear that I watch the games in a much different manner than most....which also translates into posting.....

He has to have two feet ESTABLISHED before he can touch the ball, one is in bounds the other is in the air.

Turnover was the correct call there, but I like that it wasn't called.

He whines for calls.

But, of course that shows his personality. Not the fact that he almost died from getting stabbed because he was trying to break up a fight in a club... and then played 82 games for the Celtics.
