Sounds like this is a perfect time to start a "When Will You Quit" pool. I'm not trying to be an ass and say 50% of you will give up within the first 2 months but i'm sure that's how it comes off. Just trying to motivate...I know with the new year and all these new exciting Programs everyone's starting, the motivation level is HIGH, but in 3 weeks when you don't want to go to the gym or do your workout... remember me...and the question..."When Will You Quit?"
yes, sorry, forgot to put "lbs". That makes most sense. I hate doing cardio. It makes me to eat more than I should! I guess I should do 30 min of cardio and 30 min of toning exercises 3-4 times a week. Lol, that's my problem. Consistency is my problem. I fall of the wagon too many times. I'd work out 2 months then stop for a few weeks then start again. I just hate waking up super early to work out!!! 5am is only time I can work out because I work full-time and got to make dinner after work.
Wasn't that what you told me when you got out of 'The Big House' last time? I will confirm that as a YES. But really more like:
Here's some good news.... You can prepare chicken breasts or turkey patties Sunday night along with some steamed rice and vegetables and eat that throughout the week. Eliminating your cooking responsibilities for at least half the week. Take Wed off from working out (or make that a light cardio day) to prepare meals for the remaining days of the week. This also cuts down on temptation because you already have food prepared and you won't fall victim to the old "lets get something quick" to eat situation. If you want it bad enough... you'll find a way
Wow that picture killed this thread dead. Maybe I can revive it by saying I'm offering personal training services at a discount to CF.net members.
I'll help with the thread revival... I'm on Day 5 of P90X and while it's grueling, it's also effective. I haven't gone a day yet without really feeling the workout from the night before. I'm already starting to see results too, believe it or not.
Let us know if you actually finish this workout without taking a break. I can't see myself working out everyday for 90 days. I thought you need to give your muscles a 2 day break. Is this program designed to give you a 2 day break for certain areas of your body??
i'm running a 10k for the first time. I only have a 5 weeks to prepare. I've never been on long distance running, i usually just do 2-3 miles at a faster pace. But since thanksgiving (and a little before) my workout schedule has gone to hell. I've only done weights 5 times since and probably ran about the same. I'm worried about hitting the wall around mile number 5.
The workouts are assigned so that you don't overwork any particular part of your body. There is also a rest day each week, and a "Recovery Week" on weeks 4 and 8. Sounds interesting...my fiance's co worker has this but he never has time to do it...maybe when I get in shape, I'll ask to borrow it.
It's great, but make sure you are committed to the cause. As the instructor will remind you during some of the workouts, and I'm paraphrasing here... He's a little wacky, but also very motivating.
Any fellow BBS members who live in the Austin area and know of any good gyms or health clubs with good basketball courts? I was thinking about joining up at Lifetime Fitness but the monthly fee is nuts.
