Yup - Rip would be perfect for the Bulls except for the whole lack of defense thing but I guess there are few pure shooters in the league who also play defense well enough.
It's not even a question, his on court demeanor all year has screamed it. I don't blame him either, that team has gone to hell.
They can not pay him if he doesn't go to team practices, doesn't want to play when you ask him to, actually. Happened with Jimmy Jackson in NO way back. Anyway, Pistons suck.
Yep. Rockets fans, be careful what you wish for. "Rebuilding" by losing will likely result in several years of being the 2010-11 Detroit Pistons.
RIP has never been a great three point shooter. He has always been a great mid range shooter though. Thats why he was so good coming off picks all those years.
I think it is okay to quit on the team, when the management hits rock bottom. When the management isn't advancing the team to play for a championship, and is in fact backtracking to less-than-mediocre status, then it might be time to ask for a trade. Hamilton is their best player, iirc. I don't keep up with the Pistons, really, but outside of Rip and Prince, there really isn't anyone great on that team. Also, it isn't like Hamilton is a rookie, or some newb with an attitude problem. He's been to the Finals and won. He's earned respect in the NBA. I do think, if he wants to voice opposition to the Pistons franchise, he should do so quietly.
RIP TO THE KNICKS IS A PERFECT FIT....spread the floor and let felton penetrate, rip shoot and Stoudimire dunk......PERFECT!
He isn't too overrated lol... He lucked out by getting Rasheed? But he got him... Wallace turned out better than anyone thought he would... Except Dumars maybe?
Asking for a trade is not the same as quitting on the court. Think about this. If the stewardess on a United Airlines flight refused to serve you, and you asked her why. She said, "Because my company sucks."
People forget that Rip was just as much of a reason for that team's demise as AI. He played the baby role just as big and pouted like a girl because Billups got traded.
Oh please stop with that "paid a ton of money" bullsh!t. So because he gets paid millions he isn't like other folk who have to go in to work at a job and start slacking, basically quitting on the job because management is messing about and teammates/co-workers are a joke?? I'm sure you can find employees in various companies or even call centers in which the management has turned into or is already a joke and their co-workers don't know wtf they're doing on the job and just mess about all day. You'll find that some employees in that situation quit mentally and just show up for a paycheck and in that regards they're cheating their bosses and the customers. That's life. Because you earn a higher pay doesn't mean the situation is different.
I knew something was missing here. <object width="640" height="390"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/1tiC3h7B7W8&hl=en_US&feature=player_embedded&version=3"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/1tiC3h7B7W8&hl=en_US&feature=player_embedded&version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="390"></embed></object>
The analogy would have worked if Rip decided not to play. A better comparison would be if the Stewardess was giving horrible, lazy service. When asked for a soda, the stewardess decides to take an hour to get said soda and gets the wrong one while indicating she couldn't care any less. Rips play as of late has been like that of the lazy stewardess with a bad attitude because her company sucks.
