Great! Now the United States just has to let in Bol Kong so he can play at Gonzaga! He was born in Sudan, another country that "sponsors" terrorism, but has lived in Canada since he was 7 after his family escaped genocide. He has ripped it up on all levels of competition in Canada - dropping 30 on Jamal Crawford in high school (he's younger than Crawford by 2 years), putting on a show against NCAA teams like Boise State and Marquette in preseason matchups while he played at Douglas College, and leading Douglas College to the BCCAA championship. Unfortunately, he isn't allowed to go the United States where he is highly sought by a number of NCAA Div. 1 teams. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/06/05/sports/05kong.html?_r=2&ref=ncaabasketball&oref=slogin&oref=slogin http://www.nowpublic.com/sports/jumping-through-hoops-bol-kong-story http://www.canada.com/theprovince/f...=0984a9e9-4999-4319-8a08-0dbfc562b059&k=74346
I read the articles and watched the vid. Interesting story. This kid looks like he has the tools to be an NBA player. Hopefully, they can figure out a way to get past the political barriers.
Lying doesn't make your case any stronger, you know. I love this kid, I've watched all Irans games in the Olympics and Hamed is definitely NBA-material but you're trying to hype him up to something he isn't. Like the game against Serbia, 20 points and 20 rebounds is VERY impressive against any nationalteam but why making up about Darko and Nenad playing the game when it's so easy to find out that you're lying. Iran vs. Serbia boxscore: http://www.fiba.com/pages/eng/fe/08...nglc/en/roundid/6361/fe_scheStat_boxScor.html What you can see is that Nenad was on the team but didn't play and Darko wasn't even in it. Still, I believe in this guy but don't hype him up like that, Ronny.
