In many cases they mention it is Hama health authorities. Point is the reporting is not inaccurate. They are not lying.
Having friends on both sides who are passionate about what's going on, I see both perspectives. On one hand, those who empathize more with Palestinians tend to scrutinize the actions of the Israeli gov't and IDF over the course of the last 100 years while glossing over the acts of Hamas and other organizations as a response to Israeli injustices. Then on the flip side, you have those who empathize more with Israel, who are horrified by the sick acts of Hamas and the overall attitude towards Israel in the Arab world but gloss over Israeli injustices, the settlements, and overall treatment of Palestinians. Each side feels they stand on the moral mountain, and if you even try to explain the other perspective, you're an evil apologist and hateful. Then combine it with all the spin and misinformation, the sensationalization, and click bait headlines, and it's a complete cluster****.
Yeah I’ve been called an anti semite and also that I have no sympathy for the Palestinian people. It’s always easier to wrap yourself in the pain of your own side and believe the worst of the other. Especially when “your people” have legitimately been wronged. Also in war dehumanizing the enemy is not only common but makes it easier to motivate your own people to fight and get outside support. Finally our culture is almost hardwired to polarization. You’re either on Team Israel or you’re on Team Palestine.
I’m on team AI , the only way to stop humanity from destroying itself. Face it breh, we’re animals and the apes told Taylor that ape don’t kill ape but humans kills humans. And all wars are about land and resources, throw in religion and tribalism. It’s not going to end. We’ve already seen drone warfare. Ready for the AI go and take out the enemies
You know what the Hamas would think of these wokies if they showed up to Gaza? like additional hostages except they are fat hostages and lots of Starbucks employees
And there's no room for sitting on the sidelines either - because then both Teams see you as the enemy. The dehumanization and justification of killing innocents is the worst part. "They" did this or that. "They" took our land. "They" beheaded our children. "They bombed our hospitals" Because it was "They" who did this, "They" deserve retribution. It's a insidious way to justify murder that both sides use, both sides accuse the other of, but will never admit that is in fact what they do themselves. The life of an Israeli is sacred. The life of a Palestinian is sacred. Non-combatants lifes should all be valued. It's the only way we have any hope of a solution.
Well, I'm starting to like this guy, even if it is just for stating the obvious (unless you are a terrorist supporter like @maypk and @Exiled).
Same - I have to say I think Biden has been handling this very well so far, my hat is off to him. @astros123
I wish and hope that when they do it’s a slow painful death witnessed by those that may get inspired by their actions. however the war on terror taught us much and that isn’t the case
That's exactly how Ariel Sharon dropped dead. Let's hope the same outcome for the head of Hamas and Benjamin Netanyahu.
Tinman and ATW have demonstrated lack of media consumer education for years. It is educating to see their errors.
Well let's have some balance from a famous writer on the subject who has more skin in the game than tinman and ATW. Both of Finkelstein's families were in the Warsaw Ghetto and incredibly survived. He addresses the troubling question of the morality of such actions as Hamas on October 7 and Nat Turner and John Brown's actions in the US during US slavery before the Civil War.
