The IDF spokesman says that hamas can't be "defeated" as it's a ideology nd the only way to defeat it is by replacing it

Funny how I've been saying this in this exam thread and the usual donks @ROXRAN were claiming they know better. The IDF backs what i was saying all along

More signs of the rift between the IDF and Netanyahu.

Middle East CrisisIsraeli Military Signals Deeper Rift With Netanyahu Over Direction of War
Unusually blunt comments from the Israeli military spokesman bring divisions with the government into the open.
The growing divisions between Israel’s military and its political leaders over the direction of the war in Gaza are spilling into the open, adding to the pressure on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to advance a plan for winding down the fighting and installing a postwar administration in the territory.

It began with unusually direct comments from the armed forces’ chief spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari, who in an apparent rebuttal to Mr. Netanyahu’s repeated promises of “absolute victory” over Hamas, said: “The idea that it is possible to destroy Hamas, to make Hamas vanish — that is throwing sand in the eyes of the public.”

In an interview with Israel’s Channel 13 that aired Wednesday evening, he added: “If we do not bring something else to Gaza, at the end of the day, we will get Hamas.”

    Ahem.

The goal was never to end Hamas. They could have swapped hostages on day 1. So what the hell are they doing?

I know you are re.tard.ed But if you look at what I said, I said the idea is NOT to kill every Hamas or Hamas enabler which may likely be 80 percent plus of all civilians given Hamas action approval, but to replace,

which is exactly what this guy said,... The goal should be to replace Hamas as a government entity in Gaza - The fact is by all accounts, Hamas has lost half of its fighting force- less bodies- less government leaders .

who is willing to step up and fundamentally change how school camps teach children to hate and value death is the true question - who is willing to be a accountable partner in the pursuit of peace -

Let's not forget what Hamas does to its political rivals- (fellow "Palestinians" mind you) -
this is brutal power only by sheer violence and intimidation- NOT love for their own - the civilians are merely disposable shields - even the brain dead enablers deserve a different government

Any government that does the above to its own people absolutely needs to be replaced no question..
Hamas isn't about caring about their people - it's about a hedonistic death cult

It's always funny how braindead Americans think they know better than actual Israelis and army folks.

Israelis- "we hate bibi and he's responsible from October 7. We demand a change in leadership"

Dipshit right wingers- "hOw dArE yOu bLaMe bIbI hEs tHe gReAtEsT!!! I wOrSHip and AsS LiCk hIm!!!!"

You people are such pathetic human beings @AroundTheWorld

I like Ben Stillers stand (posting anything serious online is now considered taking one...) though I wonder if Bibi and the groups propping him up believe in a two state solution.

I don't think Israel has truly tried hard to make that proposal work but it does seem like a third rail if things become pear shaped over time.

Netanyahu has no plan to replace Hamas or when and how Hamas will be considered defeated. That is why so many people in Israel including the military are openly criticizing him.

This has been the problem all along. The strategy of just punishing the Palestinians isn't really a solution. In fact it's also led to hostages getting killed. Vengeance isn't a policy that leads to peace.
