    Are you sure about that?
Both Israel’s and India’s rulers were democratically elected but I doubt Modi goes anywhere just as Bibi has clinged to power for 20+ years.

The corruption and autocracy nexus: The case of “King Bibi”

Netanyahu’s newfound impetus to weaken Israel’s judiciary arose after he became embroiled in a criminal trial for multiple corruption charges: bribery, fraud, and breach of trust. The accusations stem from three separate cases in which Netanyahu is accused of granting political favors in exchange for luxury gifts or favorable news coverage. Netanyahu has pleaded not guilty, denied all wrongdoing, and insisted that the proposed judicial reforms are unrelated to his corruption trial. But many commentators have highlighted how Netanyahu could use the reforms to extricate himself from legal challenges.

Netanyahu wasn't in power the whole time.

Sure but in the grand scheme he has been PM for 16+ years. And he is changing the judicial system to his benefit because he is accused of corruption. And he still won’t step down using the “war” as a reason to stay in power. And when you define your war goals as “defeat Hamas” that means he’ll die in office before he sees jail time for his crimes because that “war” will never end.

An autocratic, ethno-religious Israel WILL fail just as all the anti-Western Islamists around them have. Embrace multiculturalism or go extinct.

Also I saw a joke that should resonate with your German half. Refugees from Afghanistan are replacing the Iranians in Iran who are replacing the Syrians in Syria who are replacing the Turks in Turkey who are replacing the Germans in Germany.

Maybe the Great Replacement theory is real and its replacement all the way down.

Israel is the only democracy in the region. They have 2 million Muslim Arabs with full citizen rights. Israel is very multicultural.

    You know who isn't multicultural?

    All the Muslim Arab countries.

You have been fed a ton of lies.

And who wants to live in any of those Arab countries besides Hindu Indians?
The neighboring Arab countries and economies all suck, and while Israel has the best of them it won’t last if they stick to this quasi-ethno-religious state.

Fall of the Ottomans -> Colonialism -> Islamism or -> Socialism
Islamism is not the cause as Saudis championed Islamism and were always under our protection.
Socialism is not necessarily the cause but socialism failed when the supporting Soviets failed.

There is no unifying cause for why it sucks but none of the nations had the economic prosperity that the Asian tigers did because the Arab states were resource trapped with oil or were too arid to achieve meaningful industrialization compared to advanced industrial states like West Germany or Japan or developing industrial states like South Korea, China, and Taiwan. Israel is a minor economy despite punching far above its weight and it is primarily a service economy in a world where China is going to need to shift into services and wash away all the smaller players.

Ask yourself this: would you consider moving to Tel Aviv and raise a family? What about world cities like London or Paris (or Frankfurt ;))?

Assuming you ever decide to give up your palace in this swamp called South Florida (I am saying hi from Orlando right now).

Tel Aviv: Yes, absolutely. The only negative there are the terror attacks by Islamists.

I lived in London for a few years (our daughter was born there). Spent extended time in Paris. Grew up 2 hours from Frankfurt.

All these cities have in common that Muslim immigration made them much worse. It's just a fact. Parts of London are Londonistan now, parts of the banlieues of Paris are no-go zones. The train station area of Frankfurt is disgusting now.

Crime up in all three cities. (cue some leftist coming up with some fake stats they found online that this is not true)

Do you think you would have the same success in Tel Aviv as you had in those other cities (I am assuming you’re not Jewish)?

Also crime is up because it’s poor/dumb people coming into the western world cities. The rich/smart people do not need to leave their nations. And western world cities benefit from the influx of cheap labor.

The western world does not benefit from the influx of those people.

Yes, I would have the same success or more in Israel. Israel is Startup Nation.

I encourage you to go visit it. It will open your eyes. It's an amazing place. Go to Herzliyah as well, cool little beach town.

I want to believe you because it’s you but at the same time even certain Jews are discriminated against in Israel. Jews in Israel are not a monolithic block.
