No you used your sarcasm here to imply that I think this is a Jewish thing rather than the time old story of entities with power dynamics trying to create narratives and propaganda to maintain the status quo.

I am talking about Humas and I wasn’t talking to you in this reply. So why reply?. I am not questioning eye whiteness reports of rape. You are.

There are always power dynamics at play between warring parties. Someone is always stronger and someone is always weaker. What conflict has ever featured two evenly-matched parties?

I don't care what postmodern power dynamics you think were at play between the woman who had nails shoved into her vagina and the man who raped her.

I find it sick that some people will diminish reports of rape to further their points. It is quite sick that they try to dumb it down to semantics try to discredit eyewitnesses reports of what happened on October 7 at that music festival. How sick can you be @fchowd0311?

Do you notice your rhetoric has nothing of actual depth in terms of figures or number of women?

It's vague assertions that journalists "saw a video". None of the claims from these articles of journalists saying they saw a video has any indication of the scope. So a single recorded incident can be shared to journalists by the IDF as evidence and due to the platitudic nature of the evidence one video can be shared multiple times to indicate a plethora of examples when maybe one or two videos are shared in mass to create an aura that it was systemic.

No doubt an incursion of thousands of violent men, there probably were individual incidents of rape like there were individual incidents of rape by my peers while was a 0311 in Afghanistan and just like there are individual cases of rape by IDF soliders on detained Palestinians

I didn't say you thought this was a Jewish thing. You are accusing authorities of a Jewish state - and I use the word "authorities" broadly to include military, police, civilians, and attack survivors - of acting in concert to fool the world about the severity of sexual violence on October 7.

If we can't believe what's been verified by video, photo, first-hand testimony and more because it comes from Israeli authorities then I guess we can never believe anything about the attack because the New York Times didn't have reporters embedded in an EDM festival before the attack to see it happen live.

Honestly on site investigation by third party sources rather than investigation by the basis of the Israeli government sending journalists pictures and testimonies would be significantly more credible in terms of having an accurate assessment.of scale and frequency of these incidents.

Your first paragraph seems to still imply that my skepticism is based on it being a Jewish state rather than merely a state with a severe power dynamic with more means in creating narratives especially towards a sympathitic western audiences. A large reason why the Israeli government wants to deny the existence of Christians in Gaza to eliminate any potential empathy from Western audiences.

Also keep in mind that we are speaking of a government that has just killed 20+ thousand civilians and destroyed 60% of the residential property of 2 million humans. They are at a place where they have to have these claims of giant systemic evil rape people attacking them to not only justify to western audiences but also to ease their consciousness.

It is a core human thing that the Israeli government is doing. Nothing "Jewish" about it. It's called being human.

I would imagine it would be hard to be objective seeing the aftermath of 20,000 plus dead Palestinians including many children.

What is highlighted here mentions nothing of systemic rape. Just disturbing images of an aftermath of a violent terror attack. As a former 0311, I can tell you how disgusting the aftermath of 40mm HEDP round into compound with multiple people in it looks like. It's disturbing and it's hard to remain objective after seeing something like that.

They literally found decapitated bodies and body parts chopped off. They found humans that had their hands tied behind their backs and burned alive. Did you even click what I post

    Are you trolling ?

The post where the highlighted words literally tell you that the damage from fire and explosion was so intense that it was difficult to determine if of a beheading was from a consequence of an explosion and debris or a purposeful beheading?

Do you even read your own tweets?

I don’t believe anything that an Israeli first responder or citizen says - anymore than I believe what a Palestinian doctor or citizen says… that’s to say I don’t believe anything until it’s verified. Both sides are biased as hell, both sides have been deceptive and lied.

As for whether or not rapes happened- they killed a bunch of people…. They are terrorists that hate Jews and believe their religion tells them it’s perfectly okay they kill and rape Jewish women. So I really am not sure what the argument is over - it doesn’t change the situation overall.

Hamas, with the support of some Palestinians, murdered and raped a bunch of Jews.

Israel got pissed, so they leveled Gaza, killed 20,000 Muslim civilians to get even.

Israel has been running an apartheid scenario for 50 years now.

Both sides are terrible and awful.

It's worrying that a Hamas supporter and extremist like @fchowd0311 passed background checks to serve in the military. Hopefully he did not get access to classified information.

Also, @Nook - this is not a "both sides" situation.

I think this is a fair response. I was mainly trying to point out that a denial of weaponized sexual violence on October 7 by Hamas because it was reported on after-the-fact felt like an attempt to deny reality. In an ideal world, the AP, BBC, NYT, etc. would've had reporters on the ground in the immediate aftermath of the attack, but that was impossible. We can be skeptical of word-of-mouth claims from the Israeli military, but I have a problem with saying that videos and photos of sexual violence - taken by Hamas no less - are insufficient forms of evidence to say that they intentionally raped Israeli women as part of their attack.

As you point out, their religion and world view give them permission to sexually assault women. It especially gives them permission to do it to Jewish women. Yet extreme ends of the Western left deny that this violence happened at all. I've got friends who serve on the board of abortion access funds and members of their various boards refuse to condemn Hamas' sexual violence because they refuse to acknowledge that it happened at all. I don't know how to square this denial when major international news agencies have seen the footage and reported on it.

I agree that both sides are complicit in a never ending cycle of inhumanity and violence. Israel has gotten their pound of flesh in response and, in doing so, likely created a new generation of terrorists. Retribution will happen again in, oh, 10-20 years. Time is a flat circle and they both think that God is proud of them for reaping so much misery.

@fchowd0311 didn't just pass a background check to serve in the US military, he served, was injured and received commendations. He served his country, and he did not betray his country. I really wouldn't question his bonafides when it comes to loyalty to the USA. FWIW he also grew up a Muslim, but left the faith.

We can all have different opinions on certain topics and even get upset - but at the end of the day, most of us are not that different.

I think the evidence is undeniable that Hamas committed atrocities on Oct 7 and those included rape and the murder of children. I think downplaying those or dismissing them as Israeli propaganda is dangerous and willfully blind.

At the same time though there is a lot of willful blindness on display here and in other media that Israel can do no wrong. That what Oct. 7 justifies the indiscriminate killing of Palestinians that killing up to 2 million Palestinians is justifiable for what happened to on Oct. 7th.

It’s also a dangerous blindness that endangers the very security of Israel itself. There is plenty of evidence that the IDF and Israel intelligence failed to predict and rapidly respond to Oct 7 even though there is a lot of evidence that such an attack was possible. There is plenty of evidence that the Netanyahu government’s policies of collective punishment, building settlements, seizing Palestinian property often contrary to Israel’s own laws, and undermine the Palestinian authority in favor of Hamas is not making Israel safe but the opposite. It’s also looking like IDF battle tactics such as bombing areas they told civilians to go to but shootings of people surrendering not only are killing Palestinian civilians but also Israeli hostages.

if long term security for Israel is the goal blind loyalty to the current government and unquestioned support of he IDF isn’t the way to go anymore than blind loyalty or unquestioning support of the US military makes the US safer.
