Selective "facts", of course. Which support your bias. Don't fall off that high horse.

So when do you get your bronze star for fighting the war of civilization from your keyboard.

Stop trying to present them as humans. @AroundTheWorld is trying so hard to hide that fact.

I remember in Morocco when I was at a train station and from bad food, I offered some bottled water to the guy next to me. Turns out he was a doctor and insisted my friend and I come and stay with his family. We went. They fed us. Let us use their water to take a shower, baked bread for us in the communal oven.

When his mother came out she was a senior citizen in tribal attire with a line tattooed down the center of her chin. She was obviously very happy her son was home after an absence of some kind. She seemed very proud of being able to host us as guests. The doctor said "Typical Arabian mother..." in a jocular manner. I remember thinking that typical old ladies in the states didn't have lines tattooed on their chins. But she was Bereber, so it was for her.

They asked for nothing in return. I was blown away by how kind they were.

That's a very nice story which has nothing to do with anything.

Nobody ever claimed that there aren't hundreds of millions, probably more than a billion kind, reasonable, generous Muslims in the world.

You guys always conflate several things.

There is an ideology called Islam, which I am highly critical of - in its form as "political Islam", it is supremacist, intolerant, expansionist, discriminatory.

Then there are 1.8 billion people who were mostly born into nominally being Muslims. The vast majority of them most likely just wants to lead a normal life. They mostly have good values and probably mostly ignore the worst elements of the religious ideology they were born into.

I have no problem with these people, as people.

I have a problem with the ideology.

The other thing you guys conflate is that when someone criticizes the ideology, you brand them as someone who "hates Muslims".

    It's not the same.

The flipside of that is that you guys cite anecdotal evidence of having met some nice Muslims as if that proves or disproves anything about the criticism of the ideology.

    It does not.

Should be noted that Israel refused letting the UN come in to collect evidence of sexual crimes by Hamas during Oct 7th. They were kept from knowing what happened, and are now being criticized for not saying anything when they were blocked from entry.

One of my team members in Tel Aviv just sent me a video of a rocket that exploded a few hundred meters from where he lives. Hamas has fired over 20,000 rockets into Israel. They fired 10+ today at Kindergarten pickup time. My friend's wife barely made it into a shelter.

What I suspect my wife would say is that you are correct, that there are Muslims in some parts of the world that have little interest in conversion or violence. However, she would say that Islam is still more prone to violence based on the actual text of the Koran and the number of conservative practitioners there are. Does that mean that all or even most Muslims are dangerous? Absolutely not.

A lot of it also comes down to which part of the world Muslims come from and how Islam is practiced there.

Also - there is no doubt that Muslims often kill other Muslims, which doesn't make it any better for me.

The issue is that relatively speaking - there are a number of Muslims in the West now that support a theocracy and that is viewed as a threat.

Does this represent the majority of Muslims in the USA? Not based on my experiences but I have also met a number of them that do want this to happen.

What gets little discussion is that there are a lot of Arabs in the West that were born and raised in Islam and have decided that they are atheist or agnostic. Because of family pressure often times they are not vocal with their opinions out of fear of being shamed by their family and friends.

Yes - it is a verifiable fact that Muslim extremists have killed more Muslims than non Muslims. I would also argue that nominally Muslim dictators have killed more Muslims than non-Muslims.

Some of that could be based on proximity to other Muslims and not the West. Some of that could be because man has a history across all creeds to hate intimately those that are most like them.

What I can say, is that at least in the USA - we do not have high crime rates amongst Muslims. The crime rates for those that identify as Christian are actually higher.

The "fear" that I think strikes moderate Americans and a-political Americans is seeing large groups of Arabs calling for the replacement of Democracy in the USA.

When I have been in Europe I have noticed the issue of radical Muslims is worse - but I also would say that Europeans are not nearly as good as Americans at immigration.

    Well, think about it:

Hamas has always said their purpose is to attack Israel. And they always have been attacking Israel. So what exactly are you supposed to do if you are Israel? They were trying to live in peace with their neighbours, allowing tens of thousands of them to work in Israel.

How exactly should they have prevented this? Not allow anyone at all to cross the border? Prevent any resources whatsoever from entering Gaza that could be used as weapons?

You yourself claim it was an entire year from the first warnings to when it actually happened.

What should they have done during that year to prevent this from happening?

    Please tell me.

Uhhh by deploying more troops to the border of Gaza? The warnings from CIA told the IDF the attack would come from gaza but bibi laughed it off and kept his troops in west bank. Do you not understand that the vast majority (70%+) of the IDF were deployed on the border of lebanon and west bank even though the intel said those areas would be okay.

If the IDF had properly stationed their troops on the gaza border none of this would've happened.

Bibi kept most of the IDF in the west bank to protect the violent settlers from any revenge from the Palestinians even though all the intel pointed to gaza being hot spot.

There's no peace in the Middle East breh

    Too much ancient mentality
Israel is the most modern or western of them all

Outside Israel, think about all the products and services the Middle East has, remove oil and you have nothing.

Ironically the WOKE LUNATICS who want DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION are siding with the LEAST INCLUSION SOCIETY
    @ROXRAN @Salvy

Hate to say it, but China is more progressive than the Middle East by like 1000 years
