What Israel is doing in Palestine is tragic. Bombing cities to the ground isn't about taking out Hamas, it's about trying to push Palestinians out of Gaza.
There are definitely peaceful Muslims but there is an inherent chilling effect when standing up against islamists that isn't necessarily attached when dealing with white supremacists, fundie christians or maga folks. You can't even post a satirical cartoon of their prophet without death threats. These anti Israel protests that have sprung across western cities have a particularly disturbing anti semitic element that their own people aren't bothering to distinguish. Officials seem to be hoping and praying that it's only just talk and the fire will burn down by itself. Which isn't entirely dumb because government officials don't want to amplify the perceptions that they're oppressing the oppressed transmitted via slanted digital media, but think about how Jews on the ground are feeling and I doubt that is a situation that would pass with any other group.

None of the other Arabs want them. Secretly, they all want Israel to end Hamas, as soon as possible. They have to give some lip service to sound "solidaric", but in reality, nobody wants them, at all.
