Honestly the best way to provide security to the Israeli people is strengthening the border between Israel and Gaza where paragliders don't become all that is needed for an "invasion".

That will save Israeli lives so much more than leveling Gazan and creating a new round of freedom fighters/terrorists.

What did she say? The article doesn’t give specifics.

The charge seems like it could be easily abused as a way to curtail valid free speech. I don’t know what Israel’s free speech laws look like. I assume not anywhere near as permissive as in the US.

Can you tell us about free speech laws in Gaza?

    Thanks in advance.

Probably death for glorifying the enemy. Hamas is terrible.

Free speech is not absolute. Using speech as a means to facilitate genocide is not legitimate. Maybe that’s how you see this.

If I’m an Israeli citizen, I think I would want to know some details on what exactly this person said to be arrested.

Israel did their part, they warned them what was coming and told them to get out of the way. It was up to the people to do it, not up to Israel or the US or anyone else. They could have gone to the border with Egypt to put pressure on them to accept refugees. They could have gone to the sea and massed along the beaches to put pressure on the international community to get them out. They could have gone to the border with Israel and begged asylum and shown they were unarmed and fleeing. Instead, many remained in place, whether by choice or by intimidation from Hamas. Whether they chose to remain or were forced to do so, Israel is not required to refrain from attacking where they are located because they are being used as human shields. It is preposterous to think huddling in the place where you told bombs were coming is a more serious plan for the Gazan civilians than what I said.
