Interesting, but I do questions is accuracy under the circumstances.

I don’t doubt that a number of Palestinians supported the 10/7 attacks - because they view it as an attack against an oppressive apartheid state - Israel. A lot of Irish supported the IRA as well… having said that, there are also a lot of Palestinians don’t like Hamas or 10/7 and view it as just making their lives harder and the regional violence worse.

As for support for Hamas in Palestine, no I don’t believe it is in the 60% range. Hamas isn’t even the rightful rulers of Gaza. They narrowly won a single election and then took over by force and ended elections.

Why the hate for Iran? Some of it is that some Palestinians know that Hamas would be overthrown without support from Iran and Qatar. So for good number of Palestinians there is resentment. Another reason is that the ruler of Iran is an extremist and there are a good number of Palestinians that are not socially that extreme. Last - Palestinians know they are just a pawn in the battle between Saudi Arabia and Iran…. I don’t blame Palestinians for hating the USA - our government heavily supports Israel.

From the Palestinians I know - the only thing they hate worse than Hamas is Israel.

 

The Ottoman Empire supported Nazi Germany - A lot of Arabs hate Churchill and the UK because of how UK ran the Middle East territory it took from the Ottoman’s.

 

Yes. Colonialism f'd stuff up all over the world and left us in so many spread out messes.

Israel is Arizona. It’s hot and a desert. Conservatives and businesses love it. People will move there and complain about the indigenous peoples committing crime. The best cuisine in Arizona and Israel is from the indigenous cultures.

Both states have issues with crazy and corrupt politicians.

Some people love Illinois and hate Arizona. Some hate Illinois and love Arizona. But most in the US are indifferent to both which is how it should be for Israel and Turkey.
