    after 9/11 US Intelligence assessed Hamas not to be a strategic threat, and essentially outsourced their efforts to Israel.

    Best speech I have ever heard from this guy who is otherwise a dud. Unfortunately, his colleague, the minister of foreign affairs, abstained atvthe UN when the usual anti-Israel resolution came up, instead of voting against it. Utter embarrassment.
