That's currently the way it is for everybody. Don't know the reason or if it will be 'fixed', but there is no widescreen for the split screen campaign.
Well yeah I can see studios reluctance especially given the track history of game adaptations...but I think when you throw in Peter Jackson...and WETA...well I think you have a good shot at success. Still though, a Halo movie that's anything less than R probably would not have been well received by the fans and R rated movies historically have not been huge moneymakers...but I'd imagine, if they got the film right...worldwide box office plus dvd sales would surely turn a profit for it.
the more i played the more impressed i was with the graphics, especially considering thats not halo's selling point. in hd they are really pretty. i wont be home till around 11 central but ill join in then. somebody send me an invite.

Any way to change the layout of the controller? I wish they had X and RB switched. I'm used to using X to get in vehicle and pick up weapons, not drop useless shields
just a heads up Tonight at 9:00 pm (pacific time atleast), the SciFi Channel is having a 30 minute program named "Halo 3: Sci vs. Fi" Should be interesting.
sorry to leave the game but it was fun while i was in. i swear every time i turned around, flyerfanatic was in my face. i took joy in beating you down a few times because of it id like to get a team battle going sometime
It was a lot of fun while it lasted. Unfortunately we bearly got a couple games in. I'm guessing everyone will have more time to play on the weekends. Meanwhile, lets do this again tomorrow night! I'll be on.
Pretty cool that I can see how you guys did by going to bungie.net and typing in your gamertags...they keep track of everything. Looks like Flyerfanatic killed knote32 a crapload of times. I need to practice against some random fools before I join you guys...Im outta my league.
It has nothing to do with street date. There are people who pre-order games online that are just now getting the game when they could've just gone into any old store on the day of the release to get it. The majority of the people who pre-order do so to get it "reserved" or get it "first". It's rarely needed. In other cases, places like GameStop screw up their inventory and don't have enough to cover the pre-orders. Like when I walked into GameStop for the Burning Crusade WoW expansion pack and they told me they were all spoken for and I should've pre-ordered. I chuckled and went to the Best Buy next door where they had dozens of them on the shelf. Of course you could also read gaming forums where people are blaming everyone from UPS to the milkman for not having the game in time to level up to lvl 500 by the end of the day. lol.
Did you take a look at the different controller configurations for the game? I'm actually using the Bumper Jumper config, which takes me back to the halo one days where you didn't dual wield and I used the other trigger for jump...now I can use the left/right shoulders to jump and melee and "a" and "b" to reload...which I like a whole lot better.
sorry i didnt get in last night my controller kept losing signal so i got annoyed and just watched a movie, hopefully i get to play with y'all next time.
