I may want to stomp around the training ground where the stats are unofficial. Or, else, I will be in a huge hole on the kills vs deaths stat. Ah...whatever...I don't care. Us clan members need to practice together so we can take on another Rocket's or NBA clan while whooping some arse!
Nope. I'm not even listed as a member. I don't get it. I've been blacklisted and I haven't even started.
Forget it. It works now. I didn't realize I had to join up. I thought that it would carry over automatically or you had to establish members as the admin. I didn't see the "Join this group" link. I hope we don't get a bunch of homeless people joining our forum. Doh!
Yeah, then we can take on Team Hebrew (see leaderboard). I never played Halo 1 much at all and all multiplayer is different. As I'm playing, I've found my weaknesses to be (1) unfamiliarity with the maps, (2) just not shooting enough - I've noticed I seem to just have fewer shots fired - can't kill anyone that way, and, to a lesser extent (3) accuracy (which is improving).
I have the same problems. I swear most of the people I ran into last night appeared to have been playing the game since the alpha version or something. I saw there was a new wireless controller with headset using bluetooth technology. This controller had a turbo fire button on it. I wonder if people are going to be using it to shoot faster or if it won't work on Live!? That would suck if clans were using this new controller and turbo fire to get up on top. Our clan will never be much good. There's too many Halo nerds out there that never quit playing the first one. One of my problems is just using the left joystick to move around. In the heat of the moment, I sometimes do stupid things like run in 360 degree circles and push down the thumbstick which is crouch mode. I'm always hitting that damn crouch mode by mistake. That's like being a sitting duck in multi-player. You always have to be on the move or your dead usually.
I'm going to play xbox live! right now. For some reason, I cannot currently see my friends' list and the status of each. I think XBox Live! is messing up. Bungie and XBox Live! websites both are showing no friends and no status. Anyone else confirm? Oh well...I'm going to play a little. Maybe I will see some Clutch BBS clan folk. Surf
Halo 2 sold 2.38 million copies on the 1st day in North America alone, totaling about $125 million. As for updates on the reviews, it has a 97.6% (95.3% for GTA:SA, #1 is Zelda:OOT with 98.6%) and a 97 from Metacritic (96 for GTA:SA). Both rankings have come down a little bit since a few days ago, when some thought a game would finally surpass Zelda (sort of like GTA:SA IIRC). Actually, I think Zelda went up a few points recently, which is weird since I don't know why it just barely got reviewed. I haven't got a chance to play it yet, although I'm not as hyped on this game as 2.38 million North Americans are, so it really isn't that much of a bother to me. My friend has a copy of it and I may check it out either this weekend or next, although I'll just get pummeled like crazy the longer I wait.
i hear you, when i first played it on live i felt like these guys knew some kind of secret i didn't but i have to say i've gotten alot better in the last few hours just getting used to the maps. anyways it's alot of fun!
Also, you guys can search for your individual games and stats on there. Just go to the bottom bar at Bungie.net and click on 'stats' then 'player search'. Just search by your Gamertag. BTW, my Live tag: Vyer
I agree 100%. I would encourage anyone that played through Halo to start on AT LEAST the "Heroic" setting.
I literally got off a plane last night, went straight to the office, and picked up my copy which had been sitting in my inbox since tuesday, and played till 3 am which was actually 8 AM for me since I was on GMT for this week. The single player campaign (I'm only about halfway through) seems a little too easy as far as I'm concerned. It seems like there's more enemies but they die quicker - and the Chief's new weapons seem overpowered. Killing elites used to be a somewhat difficult proposition. but now dual wielding SMG's = lights out. ALso, while the variety of weapons is good, there's almost too much to choose from and weapon balancing isn't as important as it was in Halo1. Multiplayer seems fun though; I only played one game last night but it was cool. my tag is Maverick34. I'd like to get in on some games this wknd if I get a chance.
I'll hopefully be setting up my XBL tommorrow (I think Ive said that every day for about three months now!) so I should be online and killing poeople in about 24 hours. The Multiplayer better be worth the price I have to pay for the Router (My sever require a router for me to use XBL). I think Halo 2 would have been perfect with two major changes. 1. It needed to be atleast three levels longer. 2. It needed to have an ending.
