I don't know if you'd call 2 Halo games "milking" it. At least we're getting a quality (to put it mildly) game to enjoy. Not like they threw it together and put it out with no concern for the actual game, just how many copies it would sell. Anyway, if anyone on here happens to have their copy reserved at the Gamestop at Westheimer and Dunvale, say hey to me if you're going to be there at midnight. I'll be in my uniform (lovely state of Texas grey) so I won't be hard to miss. Plus I'll have my Box with me so if you feel like co-oping let me know (although I think my friends and I will be spending the next couple of days exploring the multiplayer rather fully).
Its realeased in a couple of hours here in Australia. I wont be able to get down and get my copy untill tommorrow. Still, I cant wait.
I am taking Wednesday off in part to play H2 as much as possible. I am going to have some people over on Sunday to play and anyone who would like to contribute to the party (with an XBOX, controllers, or copies of H2 in addition to things like chips and sodas) is welcome to attend. We will start pretty early and will take a break to watch the Texans game on ReplyTV (entire game should take 45 minutes to an hour). I have the capacity to run 12 people on the televisions I have, so we should be able to get nice sized team games going. Email my moniker at gmail dot com to commit to a contribution and request a seat.
You think the game will be available this weekend? I didn't reserve it or anything..I guess I should of
i freaking hate law school, no time to play ANY video games (except the occasional GBA on the crapper) when I finally have free time, there are about 15 games on my list that I have to play.
I just went by the Royal Oaks Gamestop by my house - the f-ing line was a block long for the damn RESERVED COPY people! Then you had the couple dozen poor fools waiting to see if any non-reserved copies will be left... I didn't even park. I'll pick up my reserved copy tomorrow.
Got my copy. Line wasn't to long at the Gamestop on Weslayn. They had food and drinks for free and a channel 13 news crew was there. The limited edition tin case is great. Going to watch the bonus DVD and play tomorrow, damn school and tests always getting in the way.
my girlfriend has reserved me a copy and is buying it for me tomorrow for our anniversary. it's gonna be awesome!
Small review with NO spoilers. Very good game. Alot more of a story line involved. Weapons are cool right from the start. The sounds are GREAT. Your soldiers, the Covinent....both say things right through the game. You find youself coming across different peronalities on both sides. The sounds weapons make are GREAT. Right down to the shells hitting the floor. Its like the second time around they did things they probably wanted to do in the original. Controls are the same, but there are a few extra options you have with certain weapons. Detail is GREAT. The Covinent are well detailed as are your own soldiers. It takes time to get used to looking at your new and improved Master Chief figure. After seeing the still screens on web sites.....its weird to be using him in the game! While I havent tryed it yet (Setting it all up tommorow) it looks like this game is set up to be one of the best and most functional X-Box Live games you could imagine. We need to set up a Clutch Fans Clan! I dont want to say anything else because I dont even want to give a hint of spoiling this game for anyone. Have fun.
Frys has a lot of these if you havent picked it up yet. There was no line this morning at 8am. Only 3 to 5 people were there to buy it. My friend who reserved his at the GameStop in that Sugar Land mall had already paid for his game in FULL and had to wait almost an hours and a half to get his game!!!
I went to the 24 hour Walmart near my house. They had been expecting a pallet, but only got one case. After pre-orders, they only had 11 copies to sell to anyone who did not preorder. There were about 7 people there, so we all got a copy and left. I then noticed the gamespot in the same parking lot had about 100 people waiting in line.
I ordered my copy of the regular version from EB Games. Unlike a lot of you, I'm not really in a hurry to get my copy. However, I was expecting it to ship yesterday and their site said my order is still in the first stage of processing. Yet, when I went home for lunch today, FedEx Express had been by my house. But, they didn't leave the game at the door cause noone was there to sign for it even though I have filled out a previous form telling them to leave my deliveries at the door. So, I get to wait another day. I guess it really doesn't matter as I won't give it serious play time until the weekend. By the way, my xbox live gamer tag is: Surfguy . No surprise there. I haven't actually been on xbox live in 6 months as I've been waiting on this game. I usually play BF 1942 and, now, BF Vietnam. I would be interested in a Clutch BBS clan or fight to the death in Halo 2. We should message each other via the Xbox Live! interface and get on each other's friends' lists for anyone interested. I'll make a note of any tags mentioned here and get you on my friends' list.
I'm up for joining a group from this board. I don't remember my gamer tag though as of right now. Shows you how often I get on Live. I'll post it a.s.a.p. Does anyone know if there is a way to change your gamer tag once you have created an account? If I join something with everyone here, it would be nice to have my same name as on here.
