The idea that talking about racism contributes more to it than the source for the talk sure seems to be a head in the sand perspective. If we decided to stop talking about harassment and child abuse I guess they would go away too? Racism would go away if people wouldn't pass on their prejudices to their kids. I don't know how much knowing this truism is constructive though.
