You just have to pick a name that works with a couple players, that way it lasts longer... ;)

It pains me to read this unadulterated bashing of the Wizard. Mind you, I am just a poor boy from Southern Indiana so I don't get to see all the Rocket games I would like, but I can still tell you this. Walt was/is an outside threat. This is obviously a good thing when he is hitting, but even when he is not, the threat of the 3 from Walt opens up the rest of the floor for a Steve drive or a post up. And Lord knows last year the Rocks need all the help they could get in that department. Also, Williams was/is a creative passer with good court vision. Oddly enough though, I am in the minority here, but I stand by The Wizard for the talent that he is.

The Wizard does have talent, i just think these posters are bios to the fact they hate him so much, they just keep bashing him to get their satisfaction. IMO I would have liked to have Walt if we weren't so deep. But then again, thank god Walt is gone so we don't have to listen to waltsucks 2's b!tchin', cause it gets irritating after all he posts is about how he hates the Wizard. How about we make a forum for haters such as this guy...

    just my opinion:

Walt is too streaky of a 3 point shooter. Some games he'll go off and others he'll disappear...kind of like Robert Horry.

But add to that, Walt has no good defense. I know one play isn't proof, but that damn Phoenix game 2 years ago still sticks in my head...it was the one before the 3OT Indiana Moochiefrogocrazy game. Mobley made like 8 consecutive hard-ass shots and the Rocks had a chance to win the game. I forgot who the Sun was, but he so easily beat the Wizard to the bucket from the top of the key...it was like Walt was invisible or something.

Also, for a guy who played some point in college, I never felt comfortable with Walt's ball handling abilities. I think that Walt dribbles beyond his limitations. I'd rather him take a Mario Elie approach to putting the ball on the floor.

I don't hate Walt Williams. I supported him as a Rocket. He didn't seem like a bad guy or anything either. But it is probably a good thing that we have Rice, Nacbar, KT, Griffin in that rotation now instead.

The thing about Walt is that he didn't know how bad he was. He would constantly try to drive to the basket only to have the ball rejected in his face. His place belongs out on the three point line. If he only knew his place and limitations like Bullard did he wouldn't have been so hated.

Never make fun of a sleeping wizard lest he rise up and poketh his magic wand in places you wanteth not. When we play the Mavs, I hope his shot is off. Other than that, best wishes to Walt.
