    They must REALLY be bored if they're celebrating the 15th anniversary of Bull Durham.

    I forgot how many classic movies were released that year...Rain Man, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Coming To America, Big, Die Hard, Cocktail, Naked Gun, and of course Afro Erotica 21-25 and 28-29, though 23 was definitely the weakest of the series...

    Sam Donaldson brought this up this morning. He was curious about what comments Robbins made that were so horrible, and had his staff do a search. All he could find were a few comments, made before the start of the war, where Robbins said he opposed the President's war policy. Since the war started -- nothing.

    The point they made was that a lot of people spoke out against the policy before the war started, but held their tongues once troops entered battle -- and there's nothing wrong with that.

    IMHO though, it's pretty silly to celebrate a single movie annually for 15 years anyway.

    You mean what the Hall of Fame did? Sure, it's absolutely legal. But nobody is saying it's unconstitutional. We're saying it's stupid and unfair.

    Now, if Tim Robbins was part of the KKK or something, I would support this, but as far as I know he hasn't said anything very extreme.
