Whatever happened to that one kid who played for Seton Hall and led the nation in blocks as a freshman a few years back. If I recall, he left early after that year for the NBA draft. Wish I could remember his name. Man, if we could land a talent like that, I'd be willing to part with 2, maybe 3 #1 picks in return.
yeah, he blocked jordan. the chronicle even caught it on camera and printed it. and ming couldnt will never even come close to matching olajuwon's record. sorry yao only fans
Elton Brand has developed into one of the best blockers in the league, and at 24, with almost 600 blocks already, if he stayed healthy, he might get close. He is a career 2.63 bpg player but has gotten better every year and blocked 3.0 / game last year and 8 before getting injured this year in just one game.
no way, some seasons hakeem had like 5 a game... ben wallace isn't gonna do that, plus someone had a good point it's not like ben wallace is that young anymore
Bill Russel, Wilt Chamberlain, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. We just need to invent a time machine so somebody can go back and record all of their blocks.
Elton Brand is averaging 8 blocks per game this season !!! Oh sorry, he's only played 1 game this year...but if he keeps it up, he's got a chance
me too (but only cuz of Matthew ) didn't Hakeem block one of Jordan's last minute game winning shots in 92 or 93 at the Summit? It was during a regular season game during the Bulls' first three-peat.
1 Ming is not a great blocker 2 Players try to avoid him because of his size We'll be happy if Ming can average 2 - 3 blks a game. But his intimidation is much more important than the statistics.
Ha ha, that Hakeem block on MJ is beautiful... Yeah, come to think of it, Ben Wallace is pretty old. It's cause he was a scrub in Washington for a couple of years so he probably won't get a chance to catch up to Hakeem. Damn, if only they had the team they had then now... Webber Wallace and Howard in the frontcourt... pretty deadly...
