I believe some people just have a disconnect when it comes to events like this. I don't find it funny laughing at a storm that has killed people. Some people do and some people don't.

If it has to do with a natural disaster, executions (terrorist, etc.) , or anything where an innocent person dies, no.

    That type of "offensive" no.

Wouldn't have if I knew WTF the thread was about. Comparing Hakeem to Katrina is odd comparison to say the least.

Honestly, Hakeem is better than any Hurricane ever. Really who can compare? Rick Barry? John Salmons? Hakeem is a superstar, they are adequate role players.

Here's a hint, if the thread title is "Hakeem vs. Hurricane Katrina" it's probably about Hakeem vs. Hurricane Katrina.

Of course, I should have completely seen the similarities from just reading the title.

just look at their competition.... hakeem had to go through double, triple, and even the occassional (never-called) Sonic "zone" defense... katrina had what? some weak-ass levees???

    hakeem in a landslide.

It depends on who Dream's coach is... if it is Rudy T, no contest... Dream in a sweep.

If, however, Brownie is drawing up the plays, Nagin is the trainer who accidentally wraps Dream's stomach instead of his ankles, and W is sitting in the owner's box thinking some Jr. High guards are good enough to feed Dream in the post, then Dream demands a trade at halftime of game one.

 Has Van Gundier's existence been expunged from the BBS? How do multiple people quote someone who hasn't posted?
