Before anyone say Deke, just remember how crappy Deke was as a starter for the Knicks and Nets in his supposed " twlight " years. I contribute a big part of his comeback with Van Gundy's system, which actually helped anyone that was a defensive player and good rebounder. The better indication is to see how Deke does in Adelmen's system, where I predict ( and hope to be wrong ) he'll suck.
And also, just remember, Van Gundy's system helped make Kelvin Cato productive. That says a lot about what his slow, grind-it-out system can work for slow, grind-it-out players.
