New addition to the ESPN story on Dwight:

I think this can finally put out rumors of an elaborate Phil conspiracy. D'Antoni is staying put.

To me one of the biggest selling points for Howard is PJ. So he gets to "phone in" his two cents? ok.

I'll take all the drama in the world if it makes us a contender. The drama card is a poor excuse to not sign a star. Post all-star break, he averaged 18.4 pts and 13.6 rebounds. I'll take that all day.

I wonder if this means that the Rockets will formally hire Hakeem to work with Dwight (and maybe other bigs) under the title of a coach or whatever. He probably won't come cheap given the price he charges for individual workouts ($50K/week?), but his salary doesn't count against the cap and what's even a million dollar or two if that's what it takes to land Dwight?

Kevin McHale has plenty of knowledge to share about playing elite level NBA ball as a big man, but a head coach has too many duties to spend much time in just one aspect of the game with one player, or even with just the bigs.

Stick a fork in LA. There is no way Dwight sticks around for more MDA ball. Changing coaches was their only hope. The billboards were just a way for LA to show the fans the FO tried. And Kobe for the closer? Hahaha...next...

I totally agree, Leslie Alexander even recently said himself that "I have enough money, but not enough championships". If Dwight opens his eyes he will see that this is a once in a lifetime chance to work a whole season with one of the best, if not the best, centers ever in the NBA.

It's really nice to see that everything is going the rockets way at the moment, but nothing can be taken too seriously until July 10th.

With the two best post players of all time as coaches, Dwight would have no more excuses as to his primitive offensive game.
