I saw the in-game entertainers wearing this shirt at yesterdays game. Looked DOPE Any clue where i can find it?
I didn't get a pic but the shirt had a Michael Jackson early 80s vibe to it. There was a picture from Hakeem's early days (just his face) with the words "It was all a dream" in red
I'm friends with the emcee who wore it at the last game. He said on facebook he got it from Trendcendence. Online store isn't launched but looks like you can email to order http://www.trendcendence.com/new-gallery-2/
I met up with the guy. They'll either ship it to you for free and you pay via PayPal, or meet up with him or one of business partners and pay cash. Nice guy. He said he wasn't on Clutchfans but I advised him to join and start hawking his stuff.
Fwiw, I emailed the guy also, gave me the $35 quote along with the 94 starting lineup tee is $25 probably getting mine this weekend
$35 is insane for a screen printed one color shirt. It's one screen and on what appears to be a cotton shirt. Maybe canvas or american apparel. I wouldn't charge more than $20 at retail for that. $15 on low end.
You're looking at it just about the cost of the actual shirt. But these people are designers so you also have to factor in their time, effort and talent required to come up with such a design and run their business. It's similar to saying an Iphone 6 costs 200 USD in parts to manufacture, so why would anyone pay 600 USD for the phone.
Pricey for a t-shirt but worth it if you like the look. And I do. And yeah I'm probably gonna get laid off soon so maybe I shouldn't be spending $35 on a t-shirt, but then again.... I want that starting lineup tshirt. Let me know how it fits and what size you think I should get Dave after you get yours.
True in that it looks like a 5 minute design, but the company has other overhead costs like marketing and buying the t-shirt printing press. Those are all initial investments that are baked into the cost of a 35 USD t-shirt they sell.
