you don't even have to go that far. you put a 92 Kenny Smith on this team and we'll make to the WCF at the very least. Kenny Smith Shooting % 52% 3 pt % 44% Rafer Alston Shooting % 37% 3 pt % 26% And Kenny was complaining about this on NBATV -"I was shooting 52% one year and they complained that I couldn't hit any big shots" According to people on this board, Kenny only played 2 games, the one in Orlando when he hit all those 3s and any of the Knicks games when Derrick Harper handed checked him to Brooklyn. Kenny played about 6 seasons and is an all time Rocket hero!
Oh I agree. Its not hard to say hey, dump Hakeem the ball unless quadruple teamed and have 3pt spacing. Adelman would probably be stubborn and try to run gimmick cuts and put Hakeem in the high post.
Actually, there is no 85 hakeem..... only an 85 Akeem.... lol. Honesty, you know what's most impressive with Dream that is seen in the video? His ability to steal..... what other big man has hands quick enough to take it from a guard on the dribble? Yeah, this poll is a no-brainer..... Dream > Yao, any day. The only thing Yao is better at than Dream is FT shooting..... nothing else...... seriously.
As much as I'd love to give Tracy up for Cylde, you can't pass up getting Hakeem instead of Yao. Those two, with this team? Un-stop-able!
I wish there was an option for both. I would trade Dream for Yao in a heart beat, but Dream and T-Mac would never be able to co-exist. Yao defers to T-Mac and he is easy going, Dream would be in his face if he didn't pass it too him. You could trade T-mac for Clyde, and probably be more successful, but you probably wouldn't win champoinships. Dream and Clyde in their prime together on this team would be the 95-96 Chicago Bulls.
I think Clyde would take us to the finals at least. It would be fun watching Gasol and Bynum get dunked on and give up fouls every possession.
Come on, you should know better. I guess u forgot dream's ft line jumper. I guess you forgot how they used to screen down and let dream rub like a guard for a jumper also. Dream could dribble drive from 12 ft offf the face up and score. How quickly we forget.
Man is this really a question? Hakeem would walk all over the 1/2/3/4/5s in this league today! I love this video lol look at D-Rob's face at 1:45 D-Rob: "What must I do?"
A team with Dream and TMac would not be fair. They would run through the league and easily win the championship. A team with Yao and Clyde would be good but not championship quality. Can you imagine Clyde driving to the basket, head down, and the spoon feeding Yao with a beautiful pass, only to have Yao fumble it? Clyde was not the best of defenders either, and dream erased alot of his mistakes with his amazing athletic blocks, Yao would erase nothing.
Clyde was an underrated defender. He just got lazy when his center was upgraded from Duckworth to Olajuwon.
not really a fair comparison tho. i voted hakeem but the clyde (in his prime) isnt fair to t-mac. if i could add t-mac in his prime then that would trump clyde any day.
wth? t-mac would be in hog-heaven. he could take all the 3's he wanted when the double/triple team came to hakeem. he would have free-reign when hakeem was resting on the bench. We would kill all teams including the jordan/pippen bulls.
