Definately gotta agree with you on that one. That scene with him singing "singing in the rain" was insane.
How about the scene in "The Deer Hunter" when the VC are forcing Deniro and Walken to play Russian Roullette? Mou!
or..Kubrick's Full Metal Jacket where Vincent d'Onofrio finally loses it and shoots R.Lee Ermey.Of course his vengeance is shortlived, because he immediately deep sixes himself.
The end of "Unforgiven". "Deserves got nothing to do with it." "I'll see you in hell, William Munny" "Yeah" Clint Eastwood played that perfectly. What a scene...
..Because...They were put in a cage beneath the hut, with other Americans(and allies).Deniro and Walken were forced to wait while all the prisoners were pitted against each other, one by one dying.John Savage(their buddy),had played, grazing himself in the head.He was tossed in another cage with rats on the river. Finally, Deniro and Walken were forced to play each other. They put three bullets in the gun, played each other, and then proceeded to blow away all their VC tormentors. Cimino's scene in "the hut on the river"is still my most intense moment in film in history. (before or since, personal preference)"3 BULLETS,WE PLAY 3 BULLETS"
Of course, like the aforementioned D'Onofrio,in Full Metal Jacket,Walken's vengeance is shortlived and turns into something else.He does himself in too.(playing Russian Roullete later in the movie)
Oops. Wardrobe malfunction (hehe). Which actually brings up another one ... the FCC getting their collective panties in a wad over Janet's Superbowl peepshow and exacting vengeance on risque broadcast personalities, especially Howard Stern.
