That's because there's no big guy gifted enough to do Hakeem moves.

The young Okafor perhaps. But that's way down the line.

His moves always required a guard or wingman because of the foot speed. No big men since or before him has shown that kind of ability. Everybody said he was more like a guard with his moves, so fast, so skilled and there's probably very few big guys who can do what he did. Also, it helps that Kobe is a student and diligent worker. Something others can learn from. *Cough* Dwight *cough*

At $200,000 per lesson, I sure hope he did.

Mostly because not many of them had a good mid ranged shot.

Half the reason dream go the opportunities he did down low is because players respected the fact that he had a good mid ranged jumper and they had to commit to fakes.

On the flip side, if you see someone like Dwight about to do a midranged jumper - its not something you're necessarily afraid of and you'll most likely let him have that shot.

    Mid Range?
Does anyone in the whole NBA have a turnround jumper?

Wow, is that right? I guess that's pocket change to Kobe but I always thought ex-players did that out of friendship

I'd really like to see Harden work with Dream in the post. He's very big and strong for an SG and has a great midrange jumper. We've already seen him make some amazing turnaround jumpers off of a spin + step-back.

Didn't he train Melo, too? I guess Melo already had some of the moves, so you couldn't tell much of a difference??

Strange. Don't recall Hakeem shooting 1-20 from the field.

Not sure about $200,000 per lesson, but Amar'e paid him something like $100k for a week or two of lessons.

DeeMow looked like he benefited some. Doubt he has that kinda cash tho, so maybe he only watched tapes. And I thought the fee was somewhere around 40K.
