Notice how he blows by Rodman (who was DPOY that year) at 2:38.....the Dream's low post positioning is simply sublime. He could get anywhere on the court he wanted to. Nobody was stopping him.

You know you BOSSed when you got inside Bad Boys' head, whose sole purpose was to get into their opponents head.

Hakeem was just amazing. He was just one of those guys that even moved differently from everybody else just like Jordan. He looked like a big cat running around out there.

    Unbeatable!

If that happened yesterday, coach T would have been labeled incompetent around here . All he does is pass the ball to dream or he can't coach a team to keep a lead

LOL to Lambier spiking the ball in hopeless frustration and getting a tech.

    Great video. Thanks.

    Two things stand out:

    1. The entry passes to the post are amazing.
    2. (H)Akeem was so quick and decisive with his moves. Gets the ball, then BAM, straight into the move.

Hakeem was elite but those post passes were crisp and on point.

Everyone wants to moan about our post ups but half the turnovers when we go to a post play are caused by our guys' inability to throw a clean, crisp and accurate post pass. Most times we choose to lob it up, or even worst - a bounce pass, to the post. Those passes are the slowest in the game, easiest to pick off or deflect and/or allows a defender to regain position in the post. Those passes are probably the worst ways to get the ball in the post.

If our guys could ever learn how to pass the ball to the post effectively, our guys would have a much better success rate in the post.

Hakeem also established deep position and made himself a big target

True. Great, crisp passes on time and in rhythm. Dream sets a great target, pinning guys deep in the paint and pinning guys that are fronting him.

We all agree on the passes but what I noticed and what I think kept those from being possible turnovers was of how aggressively Hakeem fought and held his post position. He goes for position with a purpose like he really wants that spot. DMO sometimes more than others fights for position like he's not sure he really wants it. l I would love coach to show this video for that reason and for he passes, but who knows maybe they have but our players just haven't picked up on it...??

Some of those players were mighty trim when the screwed up food pyramid preached Carbs first and foremost with proteins being neglected. How is that so?
