NBA.com: Who is your all-time starting five?
Shaq: Hakeem Olajuwon at the center; Barkley at the small forward; Karl Malone at the power forward; Pistol Pete and Mike Jordan at guards.

That's too easy. Most people would say:

Hakeem, Malone, Bird, Jordan, Magic. Or put in Wilt/Russell, slide Hakeem to PF, and nudge out Malone.

    What about the...

1.) Best five white guys of all time?
    2.) Best five international lineup?
    3.) Best five 12th men?

I would have thought he'd mention himself before Hakeem.

Karl Malone, i wouldn't pick a PF who doesn't know to to powerplay, who likes to do fade away jumpshot... and above all, NO RING!

I'd pick Tim Duncan over Maloney.

still no respect for "ching chong" yao. If Yao and Hakeem were on the same team. that would be an unbeatable twin towers.
current 5 should be: CP3, Kobe, Artest, Garnett, Yao (insert T-Mac at 3 and slide everyone down when Yao gets injured).

I couldn't bring myself to hate Shaq anymore after the graceful way he deflected a reporter asking him how he felt about surpassing Dream after the 99 playoffs. I can't find the exact quote, but it was something along the lines of learning from watching Hakeem's moves for years. A (rare) showing of pure class from the Big Aristotle.

I think Hakeem worked out with Shaq during the summers for a few years during his early years or when Shaq was at LSU.

The reason Shaq hated Robinson was because the Mermaid ignored him when Shaq met him as a highschooler in San Antonio.

I'd have to go with Dylan, Dylan, Dylan, Dylan and Dylan because he spits hot fire.

i don't think it's an issue of him hating on yao. they did not ask who are the 5 best players per se, so of course I'm assuming he wants to be on that team. I'm more surprised he picked Kobe with all the conflict over the past few years.

I bet shaq was not showing his true opinion. shaq is a selfboaster as we all know, no way should he locate dream at center instead of shaq himself. Plus, why didn't shaq take MJ at PG? who knows.
