Indeed, but it seems many fans are even confused to the move in his heyday cause the infamous bamboozling of David Robinson is claimed to be the dream shake when it fact, it's not.
Dat first step doe! He could still beat guys off the dribble! I know it! Sign him, Morey! Save him for the clutch fockass! World Champions in 2016! And then he can properly retire a Houston Rocket as destiny may have yet ordained it! Even Ip Man would bit on Hakeem's headfake bruhhhh!!
Yea, it was kind of a double dream shake. Found this video where he explains the real dream shake better. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/29WpgU0pqN8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Yea I know, it's more of a double execution, but everyone uses it as an example for the dream shake. Weird how barely anyone tries to add this to their post repertoire, simple but extremely effective.
Trying to think which centers in today's league have the handles, foot work, and coordination to do even a simple dream shake. Dmo is the closest we have, Scola was pretty good at it too, but both of those guys lacked the quickness and explosion of Hakeem.
Wtf was that? That was the worst Dream Shake I've ever seen Hakeem do, yet the most effective. Hakeem made the guy freeze for literally 5 seconds, almost as if Hakeem was glitching and he had no clue what just happened.
