Oh, honey, you need to let it go. Sweety, if you keep up at this pace you're going to burn yourself out.

What's in the past is the past.

I think you're so incredibly blinded by god knows what, that you don't want to acknowledge that Dream was planning this for some time. You continue to ignore his previous statements, previous trade demands, and his statements NOW that the Rockets "were never in the game". Hell what about what he said to rockHead? Was that prophetic or WHAT?

BTW, since when was $1 million the determining factor on whether an offer was "in the game" or not? Doesn't that prove that it was ALL about the money? ALL about posturing to get someone to enter the bidding? One million freakin dollars for someone who has earned $50 million over the last 5 years? Are you serious? Talk about misreading quotes.

If 1 million dollars is close to 25% of the total salary then I would say it's definitely signifigant.

Not that Hakeem is hurting, but if it's really about greed, then Les Alexander could easier lose that one million dollars than Hakeem could. Les, is far richer than the dream. Why is Hakeem the greedy one?

Sorry, I've been away from my computer recently. I see where you want a translation. I have interspersed my translation of Hakeem's comments within the text of the story.

The following is from ESPN.com and the AP Wire :

"This is a most difficult decision, to stretch out of your comfort zone ... go to a place to stay and a new environment," he said at a news conference. "At the same time, you just have to make that adjustment."

*** Toronto offered me more money. ***

"Every end is a new beginning," Olajuwon said, insisting there was no bitterness after his divorce from the Rockets, for whom he has played since 1984, but acknowledged the Rockets "never were in the game" in the courtship to keep him.

*** Toronto offered me more money. ***

"Both parties believed that in a peaceful way, we could agree to disagree," he said of the outcome. "The Rockets organization has always been like a family, but in the end we both want to do what is best to do, what is comfortable."

*** Toronto offered me more money. ***

"Toronto did a great job by constantly trying to comfort me, really wanted me to feel comfortable," he said. "They showed their commitment. They believe they have the right team, that I can really help them... They put the facts on the table that I can really help them.

*** Toronto offered me more money. ***

"It is much more interesting for my career right now to explore, have fun, compete."

*** The extra 1 million dollars a year will help me have more fun . ***

"We were really close," he [Dawson] said. "I'm going to miss everything he does. I'm going to miss him."

*** Toronto offered him more money. ***

Olajuwon called his experiences in Houston "memorable" and said he hoped to keep his home in the city, but said he was looking forward to going to someplace new, with a "new coach, new system, everything is different. That is challenging for me, to make that adjustment.

*** Vince Carter told me he would get me my shots and I believe him. ***

    "Change is good," he added.

*** Folding money is even better! ***
