Had to do the same with my dotson a while back, he got fat as he got older and started getting bad back problems. Feel for ya man, tears were shed.
Sorry for your loss. I had to unexpectedly do that in early July. Went from a regular vet visit to emergency vet to worst possible outcome in the course of three hours. Stomach Cancer that had spread everywhere. We got a pup from the SPCA a few weeks ago. Here's to another small tragedy in our lives....
I'm so sorry. We're in a similar boat. We've got a 12 year old and a 13 year old dog, and my wife and I know that before too much longer we'll have a dog free house and that just freaking sucks.
Thanks to everybody. You have been great. Today was not easy (still went to feed him before remembering he is gone). Tomorrow will be better. All of you have been wonderful. The exception being bigtexxx, who showed his ass on the board yet again. What a jerk. Much love to the rest of you from my entire family.
Refman......I Did not read thru all the thread because I hated when I had to put down mine. It really hurt for a while. But when you and the family are ready.....Head to a shelter. There are SO MANY Dogs that need a good family. My wife and I had to put down our Border Collie last year. We went to a shelter 4 weeks later and came home with two pups that were about to be put down. It fixes everything.......it really does. Sorry again man......
Damn...... I really need to look at dates of OP. I feel like an a$$. Either way.....I hope things are good REF....
